I’d be more disappointed about the damper. You don’t hear about many gen3 opg failures presumably due to the better damper, but now they went back to the cheaper one.

Yeah they cheapened that too. No more satin silver middle section lolLooks like they changed the piza box engine cover also.
Please go easy on FORD... They have to cut down on some expenses to be able to afford the people making sure that we have panel gapsYeah they cheapened that too. No more satin silver middle section lol
I heard they were moving the 3 blind mice from the panel line over to the engine assembly plantPlease go easy on FORD... They have to cut down on some expenses to be able to afford the people making sure that we have panel gaps
AFAIK, it's always been 5W-30 here.Didn't I read somewhere that GTs sold in Australia spec'd 5w-30 on earlier years?
Can you give me a part number for an oil cap with 5w30 on it?AFAIK, it's always been 5W-30 here.
The first version of my "2018 FN Mustang - Customer Assistance, Warranty and Service Guide" had the wrong specs of the engine (had the FM engine details), but even then recommended 5W-30.
Ford sent me an up to date guide, and it has 5W-30 as the recommendation (below).
Mind you, the the oil filler cap from factory had 5W-20 printed on it. I had a temp fix until I purchased one printed with the proper 5W-30.
My concern is take it to the dealership for oil change, tell them to use 5w30 and they put in 5w20 because that's what it says on the oil cap. It's hard enough to get them to put 10 quarts in.Numbers matching oil cap .................
i agree with you on that because both times I took my 2020 GT Premium for an oil change they had 9 quarts. I always had to fight to get that extra quartMy concern is take it to the dealership for oil change, tell them to use 5w30 and they put in 5w20 because that's what it says on the oil cap. Check your receipt before you leave.i agree with you on that because both times I took my 2020 GT Premium for an oil change they had 9 quarts. I always had to fight to get that extra quart
I always do but still a battle that the car only takes 9 quarts and then I have to pull the owner’s manual to show themCheck your receipt before you leave.
That tells you they don't check the oil level after they fill it. 1 quart low would not be in the correct range on the dipstick.I always do but still a battle that the car only takes 9 quarts and then I have to pull the owner’s manual to show them
Hello; your comment should be correct but there may be a catch. I was about to buy a F-150 last summer and ran across a TSB from Ford about excessive oil consumption on the V8 engines. One of the things Ford did when an F-150 owner brought in a truck for burning too much oil was to replace the 1 quart to low dipstick to a slightly over two quarts to low dipstick. I have not heard of such a thing for the coyote engine in a Mustang. That tells you they don't check the oil level after they fill it. 1 quart low would not be in the correct range on the dipstick.
