I am starting to like being the smallest fish in a big pond.

The ability to move with freedom and change direction when needed. Recognizing when an opportunity needs special attention and direct involvement. It can be harder being a one man show, but also allows for better control over what you put out.

When the chance to build wheels for the first ever bagged 2020 GT500 came to be I knew this was one of those situations I could not trust to eye balling. Too many variables with the setup and I also wanted to see how everything worked with the system. Luckily the owner Alex was only 8 hours north of me in Portland. With a few wheels on hand that fit the GT500 I decided what the hell. Loaded up 6 wheels/tires into my F150 Lightning and hit the road.

The bagged system operates interestingly. Dancing around the fender liners takes some care. Sidewall profiles matter with only millimeters of clearance. Playing with the wheels and spacers allowed us to dial in the fitment needed, make adjustments to the ride height, and identify potential camber changes for the final form.

Signature Wheel Precision Series SV705 in Sahara Brushed Sand are up front and Track Series SV502 in Racing Red out back. Tomorrow I will have some more pictures of the complete setup we used for testing. Soon we should have the final wheel design and color decided, but trip out on these for now.

Revisiting this thread. Really interesting one of your earlier posts about the difference between wheel types and the processes used to make them; and also the pros/cons.
To an amateur like me, it seems almost like splitting hairs between types of wheels for an ‘average’ daily driver and cruiser. But I certainly understand the benefits and limitations you listed.
It seems as if a flow formed, or rotary formed wheel would be one of the better step ups from a basic cast aluminum wheel for the average guy. Jumping all the way to a three-piece Forge wheel seems overkill..

One of the true benefits of having me build your wheels is that I have a GT500 on hand to ensure your fitment comes out as sick as possible.

My tenure at Signature Wheel has been filled with a lot of great opportunities. The ability to be at the forefront of design on a new platform really puts you in a unique position. Providing fresh looks and pushing boundaries, while ensuring a palatable artistic vision is difficult. There is some weight to be carried. Everyone in the community judges you based on your final result. However, when you get it right the reward is high.

Tommy Perry and I got connected through Tim Dubriske at Suffolk Stangs. His Performance Blue Shelby GT500 had just gotten a matte PPF treatment, and a vision for his project was building. We got to discussing some ways to have the wheels make the car truly unique. We saw an opportunity to utilize my new Tanzanite Blue in a way that had never been done before. I provided some subtle input to tweak color options based on my experience. Tommy considered options and five weeks later, the vision came to life.

21" Signature Wheel Multipiece SV301S with a Tanzanite Blue Face and Brushed Triple Black Tinted Lip are what you see today. Paired with Steeda lowering springs we have a truly unique build that I hope you all enjoy and throw a thumbs up when you see it on the streets of New York.

All I can say is "Wowuh". What an amazing job in many aspects: (1) Fitment is on point. (2) That color is fantastic. (3) The Satin Ppf really turns down that color creating a new shade. I too treated my car with Satin Paint Protection Film, and it really transformed the Grabber Lime color. Sunlight offers a bright shine that's vivid, while darkness casts a coolness as if someone turned the temperature down. Kudos My Friend. You Did Well.

It's like finding exactly what you were looking for.

The OEM GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack wheels are pieces of art. Amazing technology that also come with some concerns for everyday driving and replacement. Michael was looking for a way of keeping your OEM Track pack feel, maintaining a lightweight rotating mass, and removing some of the worry of damage and replacement of the carbon wheels.

20" Signature Wheel Precision Series SV703 mounted up on the Atlas Blue Shelby GT500. Paired with my Brushed Titanium powder coat to highlight the rich blue in any lighting condition. Tapping the scales within 4-5 lbs of the OEM carbon fiber wheels.
