Problem on my new-to-me '18 GT Premium PP1: the left-front wheel well shroud came loose, and the tire chewed it up and spat it out. My question is: would this be the sort of thing that is covered under the warranty? I'm just about to tick this thing over to 11,000 miles, so the base warranty is still in place.

It would be at the discretion of the dealer .

Got it. Since this was an out-of-state purchase, I don't have any relationships with my local dealers. I can always bodge up a temporary deflector to keep pebbles and cats out...

Appears a foreign object might have caused that

Last summer this happened to mine, i had been driving it at fairly high speeds, and then i noticed BOTH inner wheel liners were dragging on the tires! def. covered under warranty! its poss. that mine came with not all the push rivets, and pins installed when brand new, but i am not sure. seems good to go now!

That's my thinking - somehow the rivets came loose, and wind pushed it against the tire. Not sure how the genius behind the wheel didn't notice that, but... it's my problem now!

Whoever did the last oil change didn't reattach the front of the shroud correctly.

So an oil change requires the splash shield to be removed?
Didn't realize that. Guess you learn something new everyday

Dealership tech did it to mine on its first oil change the day before a half mile event. I was more than a little pissed off.

I sent that pic to Sneed Ford (where I bought it) and they're sending me a new shroud and rivets. Pretty happy with that outcome.

I did my last oil change and didn't have to remove anything involving the wheel shrouds. A couple of screws go through the K member, IIRC to drop the splash shield.

And that's why I haven't been back to that dealership since then.
