Styling is subjective, but I would be willing to bet the first time lots of car enthusiasts see the Gen 7 in person, they may experience a bit of urine dribble.
I might get a few drops drop out when I see the exterior in person because there are some things I like and some I don't. When I open the door and see that huge dash ... vomit will follow up that urine dribble.

I like it for the most part. The extra HP and big brakes on the performance pack are nice. I didn't like the headlight design initially, but they are growing on me. What I don't like is the new gauge cluster/info-tainment setup. I like having analog gauges with my performance pack. The digital dash and analog gauges complement each other (I have the 401).

We'll see how they do pricing. I paid 51 for my 21 GT with PP, active exh, 401 NAV, security and B&O stereo...everything but Magna-Ride.

For me that's the biggest let down. The S550's 3D tail lights and slope design just looks amazing, you'll never mistake it for any other car when you're behind one. With this? I dunno, I know they have more depth in person, but as a whole it just ain't right. If there's one thing that actually does look Camaro like, the rear end is it. That angle from trunk lid to bumper is almost exactly the same.

Not sure if this was posted in this thread already but here is a white version. I can't tell if I like it or not. Maybe I'm still just enamored with the lines of the S550.

That looks fantastic! The DH has an awesome front end compared to the GT.

Am I the only one who thinks the grey plastic under the headlights looks like Rocky After a fight?

All joking aside on the headlights. I am most curious if they actually do a good job illuminating the road, blind people or need additional lighting?

I like the convertibles ass. Did I already say that?

I am so glad I bought a 2020 - and I will be so glad to trade it for a gen 7.

The video I saw of the performance GT suggested that a significant horsepower boost was coming... "the most powerful NA Coyote engine ever". If I was younger and had a place where I could use more power, I'd be all over that.

I'll keep my 2018 GT and continue to improve it and race it. The new car looks like a Charger banged a Camaro. My 1970 was the end of the classics and 2005-2023 are the best of the modern designs in my opinion. Had a 1977, was ugly AF and so were the Fox body's when I was in high school. 2005 the Mustang was reborn to me. Buy what you want but don't tell me the new one is a Mustang. It may be fast and cool for some but Mustang means more than what some DB at Ford in an office says it is. There's a reason Tom Cruise bought a P-51 when he could have bought an F-16.

I think they just mean it's a pre-programmed rev pattern using the engine as you would expect. Natch they can't do that on M6 because 1) the car won't fire without the sensor reading clutch depressed, and 2) no way to really know the trans is in neutral.

What a stupid gimmick.
I agree about the clutch but my display shows when I am neutral in my '19GT PP2 with digital dash.

I so agree it is a worthless gimmick.

Can you imagine. Who would rev an engine that is cold. So does this feature start the car and then immediately rev the engine or do you first need to start the car and then press another button to rev the engine?

Makes me glad to have a manual and always desire one.

Stangmode was on stage.. nuff said right there...
nope.

the s550 18+ look is a great blend of aggressive and classy.
I think they went too far with the edgy crap.

I guess there will be no California Special with the fake rear vent. The body lines on the door are so faint looking that I wouldn't expect them to do that, not that I liked it.

sensors lie. If it's wrong and you're in the pilot seat, no biggie. If you're not in the car and it lurches forward and hits someone/thing, not so good.

I get all the tech is new and exciting. When I was at the dealership to order my 17 GT, (last day to order) I saw the 18's and was not impressed with how they looked. I just felt that the 15-17's looked better. My buddy told me that the 18's had a HP bump over the 15-17's. 435 to 460. The extra power couldn't sway me to buy an 18. There comes a limit to how much HP is driveable. My friend has a supercharge fox body, making around 500hp to the wheels, yet at the stop lights when we play, my 17 holds its own, until about 100 mph. Fast enough for me.

Now, the 2024 styling, sorry, I am old school (best looking Mustang ever is a '70 Mach 1). Front is a Charger and the interior is 5th gen Camaro with a fancy dash. Rear is way to clost to a Camaro. I do love the rear spoiler. This is just my guess, with the Camaro leaving the party, Challenger/Charger getting old, I see Fords idea to gather all the styling cues from the competion to help sales. Yet to me that was a bad plan. If you take any gen Camaro, and part it next to the same gen Stang, you can always tell which one was which. This new one, not so much.

I think time will tell how the design does. The 74's out sold the 73's by like 3 times. I feel like Ford didnt step up and keep the styling closer to the originals.
