Ok guys. I have a question for you all. I currently have a 2016 Roush stage 3. Would you trade the Roush for a GT350. I love both cars but the Shelby seems more special to me. I would be loosing 150 hp and straight line speed but it’s a Shelby. I dunno what to do. Going to talk to a local dealer Saturday about a grabber blue 2017 GT350.

I'd just put a nice suspension on the Roush.

The 2016 STG3 with 2500 miles or so is going for 49k by me, and dealer would likely take less. So you're going to have to eat a few K.

I wouldn't do it. I have a '15 GTPP with a Ford Racing/Roush Phase 1 blower plus a few other mods. Only 2,000 miles and title in hand. I figure it would cost me at least $25K to upgrade to a GT350.....just too much cash, even for a car that special.

As the poster above mentioned, I think you will be disappointed at the trade value of your Stage 3.....I'm guessing mid $40's, at best, as I've seen a brand new Stage 3 advertised at $51K.

I only paid 42 for the Roush. Im curious to see what they would give for trade on it. For me to do the deal they would have to give 50 for my car. Original Roush MSRP on mine was just over 70k. New prices for stage 3 are all over the place depending on the original car and options. You can get a base car with stage 3 for the 51k you mentioned. Not a premium PP car with all the options

The roush is great but the shelby sounds like it holds a special place in your heart. As long as it doesnt put you in a bad situation financially I'd go for the shelby

Losing, not loosing...
Thanks for giving your opinion on the original question. Good thing you didn’t post a useless reply and waste everyone’s time.

Yes. I work at a dealership and got a smoking deal on the car. Happens all the time. I’m not trading in where I bought it. Bought from a Toyota dealer trading in to a ford dealer. If I sold the car to you for 25k you wouldn’t try to get more for it on trade. What I have in the car doesn’t affect the valve of it.

You don't seem to want opinions, only affirmation.........so, go for it!
No true. I was just trying get you to see it doesn’t matter what I paid for the car if the car is worth more. I just want to know what you would do if you had a stage 3 and could trade for a GT350. Not talking about the money side of it. Car for car what would you do.

Oh boy, what a predicament to have.
Put on your big boy pants, think it through, figure it out and make a decision.
Sheesh...

For a key swap, the GT350 is a no-brainer........and thank you for the financial lesson..
