13 GT500!had adms but the 14 could be bought at list even a Cali. The market after 7 yrs had been saturated by GT500s. The 13/14 also pushed prices to insane highs. We now have a whole generation of tech folks ready and willing to spend stupid money again. Top end domestic cars have totally blown past inflation rates. 2004 top end Corvette z06 ran 57k. Now a top end corvette zr1 is in the 130k world.Gt350s in the mid to high 60s and ADM of 20k at times---1/3 of the msrp value. High end car inflation is skyrocketing. The new GT500 will see $10-20k adms.

Hell even little Toyota Tacoma pick ups (pro version with minor wheel, tires, and shock changes) have dealers seeking $10adm, 25% of Msrp. A toyota 4Runner old school v6, 5 sp tranny in the pro decoration (wheels, facia, shocks, often carry 5-10 adms as Toyota is intentionally underbuilding them--sending them to dealers as rewards so dealers can score their adm money.

A lot of tech money out there, stupid loans being offerred to idiots (an 84 month car loan is beyond stupid) and manufacturers really pushing halo projects that keep buyers fighting over each other for the hot car of the day.

When I got my 5.0 new from Stevens creek ford back in May 2013 there was a GT500 (forgot if it was a 13 or 14). The price? 87k

The R definitely raise the bar as far as ADM is concerned.

The dealer I purchased my GT350 called me last week asking about my interest in a GT500. This dealer is based out of Texas and told me it's a 10K ADM on the GT500 if I want it. My guess is Cali will be 15k-20k for the first run.

It's just supply and demand in my mind. Those that have the disposable income will buy first. Those that don't will wait. Those that are priced out will move on to a a better value proposition.

It will depend on your location, how many allocations are in that area, how many allocations the dealer you go to gets, how many testicles you licked at said dealership, how many wangs went up your b-hole at said dealership, if you O faced or not, how many cars you may have bought from same said dealer, and how many cars will actually be built or supposedly built since it's not completely etched in stone as we saw from the GT350.

I paid almost nothing over for my GT350 and some people paid over $90K for a base level Tech/Track Pack car. There will be no one complete concrete number. Be ready for anything.

Also got a call from a sales guy offering +$10K for any 500 model or variant to my spec. I might go $5k, if refundable, and applies to any spec variant to order. Personally, I am only interested in a road course version. A straight line car is of no interest to me. In fact, I suggest that if it is only a straight line car, Ford will embarrass themselves in the marketplace. Today, you are expected to do both well. Come up with something like a base R w/DCT, and I am in.

I will be very surprised if they try a one-trick pony, as I agree with you; has to perform well all-around.

A salesman at a local dealership was bragging to me that he had just sold a 350R for $115,000. This was about a year ago, though.

$40k-$50k ADMs on the GT500 will be the norm here in CA. There is an absolutely stupid amount of multi-millionaires that live in this state.
My guess is Cali will be 15k-20k for the first run.
I've seen the Focus RS here with $20k ADM.

Ouch. I have been guaranteed first allocation of my dealer at MSRP. Ready for specifics to be announced.

Big dealer, guaranteed allocation? Its the dice we roll. I agreed to a minimal ADM, but the size of the dealership guarantees an allocation of the type of 500 I want

I paid a $20K ADM for my 2007 GT500 in Canada. Only sold by SVT dealers, of which there were 28 in the entire country. Each dealer got a 14 car allocation. There were a few selling at MSRP, but they had waiting lists through 2009. Took 7 months to get my car. A few weeks before it arrived, a 'miracle' happened and each dealer got 13 more cars. Five months after I got my car, I started getting calls from dealers I'd originally contacted. The majority were now offering MSRP deals on 2008 models or very low ADMs. Paying the ADM was the dumbest thing I've ever done in 40 years of buying cars. I will never do it again and anyone who pays one is as dumb as I was.

Not a big dealer, but they have gotten at least 3 350's and 1 R each year. I have no doubts(GM was told by his rep he would get what he wanted) that I will get the first MY if it isn't a limited launch like the '15 350.

Your honesty is greatly appreciated. Most of the time ADM payers try to justify their decision however possible.

Precisely, ADM is nothing but pure profit to the selling dealer and an "added depreciation maker" to the buyer. I can think of exactly 2 cars that ford has built in the past 30 years that have appreciated beyond the rate of inflation to where buying one wouldn't have been a bad investment and where an ADM could have even been taken and been sensible. Those cars were the RS Escort and the GT. Outside of that, every other car was a guaranteed loser. Why one would want to compound their loss with an ADM instead of exercising patience and buying it at MSRP or less at a later date is beyond me...

Hard to tell.
But, you can look at the GT350 and GT350R cars when they first came out. Some of the GT350R cars are jacked up to 100K with adm. I think some are still at that price.
It's regional. A local to me dealer sold a 350R for $115k.

A GT500 can easily sell for north of $125k here.
