I picked up my mustang on Monday with 11.1 miles on it and noticed the timer in the Trip 1 was just over 5 hours.
Does that mean my engine set idle for most of that time in it's 11.1 miles of driving?
I believe the timer is running when you have the car in "run" position even if the engine isn't on. Could be the salesperson was showing the features of the car to customers, or the staff was familiarizing themselves with them as well.
My guess is letting the car sit with the engine running for an hour or more is part of the QC process on a newly assembled car.Can anyone with car assembly line QC experience comment?
