it's not from an authorized seller. so there wouldn't be a warranty

You know if I remember correctly the factory had a capacitor on it. Maybe the new ones are blowing because they don't have a capacitor.

Also, what ohm should I go with?
I remember the tweets having that.

I’d try a set of these since they should work well with factory power and are relatively inexpensive. It is full range so might need some sort of crossover to make it play well with your tweets. May may also have to fab up a little bracket to mount though.

Sticking with the factory amp can limit the options a bit, but part of the fun in a budget build is experimenting until it’s close enough.

I used the faital pro mids from parts express before swapping to the hertz.
They were not too bad for the money.Ran them with a band pass crossover.

Yeah I don't understand anything about crossovers and how they work. Honestly I am just going to buy a new set of oem because they worked.

If youve blown three speakers, I'd pull that door panel and check your wire harness. Sounds like you may have pinched a wire and its shorting out.

Nizz55, you are correct on the crossover. The factory speaker had a cap and a coil, Cap for low frequency cut off and Coil for High frequency. without those you would be running a full range audio signal to the speakers and could end up blowing them. OEM Audio+ has a drop in speaker solution for a mustang.

Is it a full speaker system? Or dsp etc?

I’m interested in just swapping speakers possibly. I have oem audio + in my Scion and it jams. But it has the full set up. Still sounded good

How much are the replacement speakers for the doors? I had to replace one blown speaker in Scion (7 years 160k Miles) I left door widow down and it stormed and shortly after one speaker went out

So I think it was age and the water that caused damage

One 6x9 was 100 if I recall or 150. Don’t remember

They have a complete setup, speakers (tweeter, mid, midbass, rears, powered sub w/custom enclosure) and DSP Amp. They also said they would sell the speakers separately. I believe it is going to be $499msrp(tweet, mid, midbass) $249msrp(rear) $799 (powered sub)

I am curious how that will affect me. I have JL stealthbox, I’m running directly off the sub signal in the factory amp.

Wonder where the dsp goes and I’d lose my bass since I’m wired into stock.

If they have that figured out where I can get the door speakers and dsp I will rock them. I have 2 jbl gto629’s in rear that absolutely sound great so not too worried to replace those

The DSP amp used has a low level signal output for the sub. There is a signal wire that is needed to be run from where the factory amp location to the the powered sub in the trunk.

They make a wiring harness that connects the radio to the their dsp amp. The amp is the same size as the factory and is mount on the factory amp bracket. All the factory wiring to the speakers are still being used.
