asking for a friend. What turbos match up well with low mount kit, he is not looking for moon boost or 1200hp
it is a stock motor. Comp oil less are out of the question. I see mainly people running pte 55,62,and 64's. anyone running BW Garrett or even entry level pte 6176? Just looking for different options I personally have used pte and bw in the past and the bw JB seem to last forever. I am not sure if I bw s300sxe cover will fit well with low mounts but not to familiar with the bw s200sxe series. Exhaust side the bigger the housing size the better? any info would be great thank you in advance.

I’m running percussion 6266 not in a low mountain configuration but I don’t have a lot of heat issues with them covered and the pipes wrapped the 62 are great cause they don’t kick in really till 3500 it’s a daily driver and I can curse around like stock as long as I stay under 3500 rpm and when you get bored and want more they are there ready to go with room up to 1500+ I’m at 900 hp stock block and trans and shafts

I love these 5562 turbos. They spool so damn fast and they make a ton of torque. They can very easily take you to the limits of a stock engine and carry you well over 1000whp if you decide to turn it up.

I'm really liking the BW Series: SX-E
Spec: S200SX-E , 7670 for the price.

The s257xe are bad ass. 57mm compressor and 61 turbine I believe. Run the .81 housings. Summit had the hot side housigs on sale for $99 last month. I almost bought 2 of them just because lol.

If you look hard enough, the s257 can be had for under $600 each...

I bet they are bad ass on this platform.

Quit bitching around and be the ginuea pig! You wont lose any more races on YT I promise lol.

i went with PTE 6466 because I had them. They should spool about the same as the base cast 62 jb turbos. Still waiting on the rest of my kit to show up from Hellion at the moment. With being an A10 and interested in mostly straight line performance Im not too worried about going a little on the big side. Doubt I could use full boost in first gear then it’s all gravy. If I was a manual trans I’d be more worried with transient response and recovery between each gear. Same as if I was more autocross oriented with a lot of on and off the pedal driving.

It really comes down to what your goals are and how you plan on using the car.

Hellion sold you the kit without the turbos?

When I asked about purchasing the kit without the base turbos I was told there was only a 200 dollar credit for subtracting the turbos so I opted for the full kit and will have an extra set of turbos when it’s all said and done.

With 2.5L per turbo, a Garrett GT30 size turbo would be a great street turbo.

only 200 dollar credit, that is insane. they would sell more kits if they gave the option of a hot side and cold side without everything esle. I'm sorry but pte isnt the best turbos on market and spending 2200 each turbo is alittle much for someone not running 30psi of boost. I guess some people could afford to spend the money.
