Thinking of just taking mine off. It looks like a ridiculous toy. Does the strut brace need to come off first?
Removing the nuts on the drivers side and loosening the nuts on the passenger side should give you enough clearance. The '19 service manual says 41 lb*ft for the nuts, also to discard the used nuts...

Thanks for the info. So the nuts have to be replaced? What's the issue with re-using them?

Good question! I am used to seeing some suspension and some engine bolts/nuts that are one-time use but these do not seem to be that stressed. They appear to be nylon locking types, maybe Ford is just being cautious.

They definitely do not look as good as the 15-17 model but you did a great job!

He did a great job !..it's not easy to make them looks as good as the 15/17 but with work done to them I think they look just as good if not better then the 15 /17

I am going to loosen them with my ratchet and re-torque them afterwards. We are talking about one nut on each side. The brace mounts are not going to all come flying loose one day.

I was kind of disappointed to open the hood and not see engine. Is there any functional purpose to the engine cover, or is it purely cosmetic? I’m thinking of putting it away until I’m ready to sell the car.

Just cosmetic. I also have a theory that it unnecessarily traps heat near the coil packs which is probably bad over time. It's also 5lbs, believe it or not.

i removed it. I put it away with the sound tube in case the next owner wants it. I also ordered a strut tower brace on eBay for $150.

I'm going to try to cut the wings off. See what that looks like.

When I put the Roush CAI in, option was to cut a section on one side, I just said nah and left it off. I kinda like just seeing the motor when I open the hood.
