I’m interested in this as well thought of switching to the shaker speaker as well
UPDATE ON SOUND EXPERIENCE: it looked nice, but after a few days of listening I understood that something is wrong... Sub works as it is supposed to work, I asume - you can feel it at very low frequencies, would prefer the crossover at a bit higher, but ok. The problem is - way too much high’s and no mid’s. That was under 8/10 high, 6/10 mid and 8/10 low settings, which sounds good more or less on any audio.
I had to adjust to 5/10 high, 8/10 mid, 7/10 low to have a decent sound, which sometimes is still strange as well.
My questions:
- would replacement of front door low speakers help (35w/4ohm shaker vs 25w/4ohm original)? (Other font shaker/non-shaker speakers have the same parameters)
- any EQ settings on forscan? Any recommendations?
- any other experiences after shaker amp/sub/rear-coax install?

I’m almost done swapping in all the factory shaker speakers and the car Definetly sounds much better only ones left are the ones on the front a pillars to replace and the left speaker on top side of door panel accidentally ordered 2 rights but it’s a no wonder it’s better the stocks are crap in comparison like 8ohm 12.5 watt on the small ones versus 2 ohm 25 watt I’ll finsih it this week I’m slow at work I’ve never done, so I don’t break stuff But know that I’ve done it not so bad but those rear deck lid speakers are a tight fit and the back seat is super cramped haha

I saw a factory Shaker subwoofer for a 2015-17 and wanted to upgrade mine poor audio on a budget. I looked in the trunk and found these connectors. Are one of these the subwooker connector?

I'm not sure what the top connection is for but my '18 301a, pp1 with active exhaust and no magnaride has something plugged into it.
Hope that helps narrow it down.

Hey everyone, I read over this entire forum several times and then did the install. I had a $300 dealer credit so it was almost free for me. Mustang is a 2018 Premium Convertible with 9 speaker.

I ordered the Subwoofer from Ford for $252, the harness sub adapter for $14, got a Pro DSP (ending in CN) for $50, a sub bracket for $40 and all the needed bolts, washer, etc. For about $10 from Home Depot. The only thing I didn't realize is the sub doesnt include the plastic trim to cover the metal bolts on the bottom front, found that on eBay for $15. Was a super easy install and had no issues with anything, volume is unchanged as well.

Though I am curious, has anyone tried using the B&O sub in a 2018? I can return my Shaker and get the B&O for $80. Figure it might have a little mlm more bass and being 10" could work better for future aftermarket speaker swaps.

Can you provide the part numbers?

Did your 2018 have the blue sub harness connector that most have found behind the passenger side trunk liner?

I would also like the part numbers for the B&O parts instead of the Shaker, everything I find still points to the Shaker stuff. I have a 2019 so might as well try to match parts.

Hey guys, just wanted to give a quick reply. I don't have the B&O part #'s written down. Though I should have all the Shaker part #'s for what I used. I'll try to find it as soon as I can, though it might be a few days possibly (hopefully sooner), working on acquiring a company in West Hollywood and it's quite time consuming.

Yes my vehicle has the connector, pic posted below, it's a 2018 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible (I think 400A). Looking at the earlier posts it seems like some people have it and some don't but no one really knows who or why, my guess for me is because it's a convertible so the additional wiring for the top contained the connector.

For those who's sound is "off" after installing the factory sub and "Cx" DSP you need to change the four door speakers to the shaker pro units also. They are 2 ohm and balance out the sound much better than the original 4 ohm premium speakers.
