What speakers fit in Rear seat panel

Looking for suggestions on what speakers others have been able to fit in will fit in the rear seat panel. Depth seems to be limited by convertible top mechanism /car structure.

I used JBL 639’s without an issue.

Sorry they were GTO 638, 3 way speaker's. Depth is 2 1/16.

I am going to install these speakers in the rear seat panel of my 2016 convertible. Do they require any adapter rings or anything else? I've got the Metra 72-5602 connector. Thanks!

It’s been a day or two since I installed those but I don’t recall needing anything special to install them. Other then modifying the connector, but you have that covered already.

I installed Hertz C 165 F because they are shallow and meant for rear fill.

Never used them now have dynamt over the speaker grill. The whole panel was rattling too much. Preferred to use 7 channels active for entire front.

I used the focal’s. They fit perfect with shallow depth. Base is a bit limited with them though.

Jl Audio C3-650 convertibles fit perfect
