Do you get compensated for what you do for a living?

Of course. And I use part of that compensation to buy blu-rays, and a bunch of monthly streaming subscriptions. Music included. I have copies of the same movies in VHS, DVD, and now blu-ray.

I'm done with paying the price for old content on new media. That said, I also prefer to have content decentralized, DRM free and available anywhere I want it. What good it there for a streaming service that I can't access when I'm in at my friend's cabin with zero network access? Power outage at home? No prob, I've got batteries that last for hours. Turn some servers off and the basics will last for 24hr+.

I also use some of my compensation to buy hard drives. 200TB~ worth so far on site.

How much of that money is actually going to the artists anyway?
