I have tried looking things up about the new 5.0, but I am not finding exactly what I am looking for. I was wondering what makes the new 5.0 exceptional. The only observations I have come up with is that the power and sound both are very impressive, but why is this engine the future? I keep wanting to compare it to GM's LS line. But that is because I am new to ford lol. I have a great feeling about the 5.0 platform for the future, just looking for reasons that justify it. Any help is appreciated.

4 cams (DOHC), 4 valves per cylinder, high revving, strong factory block, sinter forged rods, twin independent variable camshaft timing.

I don't know that this motor is the future. The future is the Ecoboost power plant. Look at the Ford GT TTV6.

The Camaro needs a 6.2 liter engine just to produce 9hp less than the 5.0. The 5.0 is highly efficient for it's size, and a ton of HP per liter of size- almost 90hp per liter.

Even the C7 uses the 6.2L, slightly tweaked, just with 460hp. It' also way lighter than the Mustang which is what makes it quick more than the 25hp.

Yep, the C7 is over 400lbs lighter, so if you're going to race one, make sure they have a fat passenger!

Or for the $20k extra the C7 costs slap on a supercharger and have 650hp+ with cash in your pocket! There 5.0s are a great bargain under 40k.

Is it true for me to say that the Coyotes work better with forced induction than the LS engines? I have found out that cams don't help us as much as they do the LS.

Woah woah woah. In the name of accuracy, the C7's motor isn't slightly tweaked from the one in the Camaro. The Camaro currently uses the 6.2L LS3. The Corvette has an all new 6.2L LT1. The two motors share only displacement. Everything else is different. It's a pretty neat motor.
