I'd recommend having it looked at sooner rather than later.
If it has aluminum heads the overheating may have warped it. I had a Honda 6cy that overheated (my stupidity) and that's what happened to it. It started as a tiny leak and the truck still ran great. But before too long it got a bit worse and the coolant in that cylinder ruined the sleeve and rings - the valves were really clean though. Anyway the engine was toast at that point and Honda engines, even used, are outrageously expensive and the repair costs exceeded the trucks value so I sold it for what I could get as a parts car.
So, yeah, if you like it and it makes financial sense have it looked at soonest.
how much would it cost for them to figure that type of thing out?Just curious.
Wonder how much to totally fix.

The shop I took it to charged me $150 for the diagnosis with the understanding that the dx fee would go towards the repair if I had them do it. Since the repair estimate was about $2k more than the truck was worth I declined the repair.
FWIW a quick Google search for "cost to replace headgasket on a sonic" says between $732 and $844. It further said parts are a bit over $300 so if you wrench yourself you could save some money. If you diy it I'd be sure to check the head and block closely for warpage.

I would have given you $39k for you PP2, I'm even in TX.
Yeah but selling it myself I would have to pay the taxes on the sale so that would be a couple thousand dollars out of my pocket. But yeah I probably could of got low 40's selling it myself but dealing with the hassle of that... Beating.

Carvana offer of 32500 for my 2015 premium GT with 50th anniversary appearance package with 6500 miles. Torn between selling and keeping , I have a newer SUV that I drive most off the time.

6500 miles? I would sell it. You are not using it enough to justify keeping it.

For my 18 GTPP1, 22000 miles, Vroom offer was 39,690. Dealer Trade was 32,500. That's stupid money through Vroom, I figure sell it now Vs keeping it and waiting a few months till the Mach gets here.

Just a bit leery as they don't pay on the spot like some others do.

Carvana says $28,900 for my 2015 base manual GT with 28,500 miles on it. I got this car in November 2014 and it's treated me well and I paid about 32k for it back in the day with the Ford X Plan deal.

It'll get picked up in a couple weeks. Not gonna be fun putting back the OEM headers and stock stuff on it as best I can, but I couldn't pass the deal up seeing as I've had fun for almost 7 years with the car.

Too many cars so this would be a great time to unload so got offers on Carvana.

-33K for both my 15GT’s - base /MT82 with 15,000 miles and premium , Recaro /10r80 with 24,000 mile

$36K for my 18GT with PP1/premium/Recaro /10r80 with 28,000.

$47K for the 16 GT 350 with 23,00 mile .

it seems the deals are better for the older cars ... I got a dealer offering the same for the GT 350 2 years ago with 14,000 Miles

Unfortunately for me these offers are based on stock cars ... which the cars are NOT .

The 18 GT and GT350 would be relatively easy to return to stock since the 18 still has the stockish motor /drive train (sans OPG and clutches in the 10r80 ) and I don’t have that much into the “stockish” voodoo in the GT 350(Manley rods /head studs and valve springs)
I would just take off the whipple on both ,return fuel system and lowering springs (also have BMR lock outs ), one piece drive shafts .
Also Baer brakes on the 18 GT .
No way on the 15’s to return close to stock since both have built motors I have $$ in .

I keep a mountain of stock parts but at times like this I wish I had taken out the entire stock power train/ drive train’s before modding so as to be able to easily return to stock if needed .
That way you can return to Stock and sell “built parts “ on their own if you do .

$35,000 exactly what I paid two years ago. I have a 2019 GT 300A 6mt PP1 with 3800 miles. It’s tempting but I love this car and I would miss it

Vroom has been really pushing great offers. I'm about to send my paperwork in tomorrow with the title. Praying it goes smoothly.

Well, Not Carvana, but I got an offer on my 2017 Roush RS3 and it was too good to say no to.
So I sold my Roush and I never thought I would, but these are some crazy times and it may never get this much money ever again.
I am not buying right now. Going to wait this Bubble out and for prices to go back down, then find something.

My father checked Carvana offer on his 2013 Roush RS3 with 31000miles , it was only 12900$ I believe it was priced as a standard gt. There were no options to check to state it was a Roush vehicle. Did you sell yours outright?
