Apparently a set of springs for the car that have just sat in the garage for a couple of months now.
This, What I hate even more is paying extra to expedite something and then not installing it for like 6 months.

I'm still conflicted about the pointlessness of this addition: Working on the "problem" of lost battery cover push-pins, I learned that in some cases the pins' base was nearly small enough to slip through the cover's mounting holes. Addition of some thin washers was suggested. I searched my parts bins' drawers and came up with two plastic ones that answered those needs: they had a parts number on them that turned out to be from a VW seatbelt anchorage. I ordered four from at VW used parts specialist. They worked just fine except that they exhibited the same get-lost drive as the push-pins.

Thinking about service technician's environment, I reckoned they would be unlikely to even notice the washers had been there, let alone keep track of them and replace where installed. Reckoning further, I thought a contrasting washer-to-cover color would assist in bringing the washers existence to the technician's attention. From the same VW used-parts place I ordered and received three white washers of the same specification as the black ones. They were dirty, and took a bit of cleaning to come out really white, but there they are.

You'll also see a small metal mints box attached to the inner fender verge by way of a very powerful magnet located in the box, which also contains a number of unused push-pins and a few spare washers. I'm ready, if the battery cover ever has to come off again: there is a new AC Delco extra-special AGM battery in there.

So, is all that ecstatically pointless, or what?
