Hey guys, happy holidays. I currently have staggered mmd zeven 20" offset with 305 rear. Considering going back to stock until I can save for 18" forged rims. Was wondering what the largest tire to for stock runs would be .
Thanks ahead of time

255/45R18. It doesn't get you much over a 235/50 though.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea how a super sticky street radial 255 would compare in traction to an all season sticky 305? I have Michelin PS4 s right now and love them.
Thanks

The 305 would still tend to have more grip as long as the pressure is accounted for. When you go to a wider tire you have to air down to regain longitudinal/forward grip since the contact patch gets much shorter when it gets wider. PS4S are great tires and you won't find any all seasons that will beat them.

Why do you want to change?

Thanks for the in depth explanation. I wanted to change rim size lower to save some weight and buy the ps4s or radials in a smaller diameter... Shit is getting expensive for rubber lol

And what pressure should they retain? I've been keeping them at 35psi

Put the 18s at 32 cold (so 33-35 warm). The wider tires you'll want to run in the high 20s cold on the street to get the improved straight line grip. I wouldn't bother getting PS4S for the 18" wheels. Get some Firehawk Indy 500s. Save a lot of money, and get a great tire while you save up for your expensive forged wheels. Thank me later. There are a whole bunch of very happy people with those on this forum, and three friends of mine who love them in various sizes as well.

Definitely not. Anything that can fit on those 18x8s will struggle, though it doesn't hit like a PD blower. My winters on my stock 18" wheels struggle with my 400 whp lol. They'll spin all the way through 2nd.
