What is needed to put the 2018 performance pack 19x9.5 275/40/19 rear wheels on the front?

I have a 2018 GT performance pack and I want to get new 20x10 rear wheels and put 315's on for the rear, then move my stock 19x9.5 rear wheels with 275/40/19 tires to the front.

Will the stock 19x9.5 performance pack 1 rears fit on the front without modification? is a spacer needed? It looks like they could be spaced out like an inch easily but I read on Americanmuscle that they dont recommend more than like 10mm spacer on the front wheels..

Need a spacer. 1/4" is what I hear. Which is a bit bigger than the usually quoted 5mm limit for use with the stock length wheel studs.

5mm spacer is all thats needed, and I wouldnt go more than that without getting longer studs cause running on too few threads can be real bad. Get a hubcentric spacer that fits out hubs and stud spacings off ebay. The generic (non hubcentric) ones are a PITA.

Looks pretty thin, glad to know that would make it work though. I wonder if getting new studs and a bigger spacer could be worth it like possibly this kit? :

On american muscle it says you can use the stock studs though but the review says you need new studs..

Im not sure what the actual truth is here but they look like they would be fine as far as I can tell since the lug holes are recessed..

Bolt on spacers are inherently weaker and less reliable than bolt through spacers.

I assume you are looking at the AM PP replica wheels. Have you considered the OE Wheels PP replica 19x10s that work front AND rear.

PS 315 tires are significantly larger than typically recommended for 10" wheels (255-295).

The OE dont come in 20 inch. The tire I want is the 315/35/20 s007 which I actually had on my 2011 mustang (on 20x10.5 inch rims though) That tire is what broke my mt82 lol.

305/35/20 Pilot sport 4s say a 10 inch wide is fine so I am also considering that but I think i would prefer the s007 and a 315.

The s007 is made in 295/35/20 also but I still think I want the 315 mainly for the looks and straight line..

1) that ebay link is close, you got the right idea, but that specific one is not the right hub sizing. Yup its thin, but that's all you need.

This is a good option, better than the bolt on spacers (below), but its not easy work to replace those studs. I'm going that route (so I can run some 11" wide wheels) later in the year, but I'll probably splurge and get a pair of ~$400 replacement hubs that come with the longer studs pre-installed.

The stock offset wheels do look good spaced out 20-25mm, but bolt on spacers are the weakest option and have the highest failure rates. Better pass on those. Option 2 is much more secure if you can manage it.

Tried to get the 275's put on the front with 5mm spacers at the dealer but the dealer said it wouldnt fit. I dont really believe them but I havent tried yet myself. Also had the s007 315's mounted on 20x10's and they put spacers on the back where they werent needed (i gave them 4 spacers just incase). They ended up putting spacers on the front 255's and also on the rear where they were not needed. I removed the spacers from the rear and the 315's fit perfect now.

Most likely will attempt to put the 275's on the front with 5mm spacers sometime eventually. I suppose the 255's are better for straight line though since they are lighter.

Overall I am happy but I am sure there are lighter wheels out there, these are pretty heavy I think the rears were like 32 lb

I have calculated that a 9.8 mm spacer is needed to put your stock rear PP Wheels with 275 40-19 tires up front. This keeps the back side spacing at the designed distance from the strut.

BUT, I have seen many posts that indicate a 5 mm provides sufficient spacing, including the post from NightmareMoon above. He also recommends hub centric spacer - IMPORTANT !!!
A Hub centric ring could also work (but not ideal), if there is one made?

You definitely want the loading stresses to be transferred to the hub and not solely handled by the lugs.
