What impact will it have on 6-speed sales that PP is no longer exclusive to manuals?

Good business decision (auto 10sp PP), my next GT will likely be this and used as dd. Sure I enjoy a manual, but today the benefits or advantages of a manual aren’t really performance related anymore.

I'd guess about a third more autos will be sold now. Yes, they are getting more and more popular but there are still a lot of folks that like the manual trans not because it's faster, manlier,more convenient, or better at all. just because we think it's more enjoyable. And no matter how good the auto gets there will still be a large group of people who still prefer a manual trans.

When I get my 18 it is a PP 10 speed. If i could have gotten a auto in a PP2 I would have. Hell for my use, performance orientated cross country transportation I would have gotten a GT350 auto in a heart beat. Why Ford wants to lose sales by not letting customers have what they want is a mystery.

ive been a stick guy myself, but when i experienced the A8 in the dodge, i realized how far the auto trannies have gone since i've had one.

less and less manuals will get sold for sure with the introduction of auto PPs

I would have had my PP car with the 8-speed all day had I known how clunky and overall frustrating the MT-82 driveline would be... even if it wasn't remotely as quick at paddle-shifting gears as a much less expensive VW.

Honestly, there has to be a quality control issue ford needs to address... there is just no way we can go from it being absolutely horrible and then others love it.

I love manuals but I am all for Ford offering more performance options for automatics. Everybody wins.

There is never an everybody wins.. There is always a loser somewhere and at this point in time the manual is the clear loser right now.
