And the new one is cheaper? Sounds like a no brainer to me. Also just about every bank out there will give you a better rate on a new car vs used.
Correct, new one is $1k less. Same options too. Literally the same car.

I've always wanted a WRX STI but I won't get a 4 door vehicle unless I really need it. So another Mustang it is.

Probably a 2019+ Manual for the auto rev matching in a loud color. (Orange Fury preferably)

but who would buy used over new for the same exact car?
the same people who think 12,000 units produced makes it 'collectable' and won't depreciate the same as every other GT. Back in late 2019 ne Bullitts were marked down 12-15% without any factory rebates.

If my Mustang was totaled today,........I would try to order myself a 2021 GT500. I say "trying" because if they are asking waayyyyy over MSRP, I'm out.
If the GT500 was not going to happen, I'd probably order a 2021 Roush Stage 3 car with the 775HP option.

If there was a 3rd button, (depends/Possibly), I would have voted that. As much as I do love my GT350R, I would possibly test out other possibilities. Porsche/Audi/BMW/Toyota/Nissan to name a couple. But if I wasn't satisfied, probably up to GT500.

I would only get another Mustang if I could get a GT instead of EBM only because it has had a lot of mechanical issues fortunately all fixed under warranty.

I think it likely I'd get another one. Newer and a GT probably. Still a convertible and probably still Race Red with the next trim level up.

Had one or another Mustang for almost 30 years. I loved every one of em and have no complaints about them at all. I just would rather have a 67 Camaro. Need to do that before I run out of years to enjoy an antique like.

I really don't know what I'd do if my Mustang got totalled. I would shop around, probably. I might just do the LS swap or add a turbo to my '86 944 and use that for a track car for a while. I'd like to buy a GT350, but I'm not quite ready to do that right now.

Who am I kidding? I'd almost certainly buy a GT350.

Absolutely not. Between the 2k rattle, bbq tick, and diesel like idle, I'll likely never go back to Ford. I get all those sounds are "normal" (I don't think they are), but it takes a serious degree of enjoyment away from the vehicle for which I get to bear the burden of, so to speak.

As a matter of fact, had I known I'd have to put up with all these noises, I would have walked away.
