The Koons Ford Dealerships, especially Koons Sterling Ford location, usually makes some of the best/most competitive deals on mustangs on the East Coast. Buyers must, however, be wary of the way the Koons dealerships calculate and advertise their WOW! Prices. The WOW! price doesn't include Ford's $1095 Destination and Delivery Charge and is calculated with ALL available rebate money, which not every buyer will qualify for. In my purchase negotiations with Koons Sterling Ford, I focused on a final price, rather than their WOW! price.I worked 2 potential deals with Koons on PP1 cars, they were ok but not the best. Comparatively they were about $500 off (when accounting for different packages/options) and nothing close to $7k off. I’ve got traffic to show it.
I took 13% off the vehicle I wanted, calculated the tax, title/tag and documentation fee (an utterly ridiculous $799.00...this should be against the law) and made my offer. Their last final "Rock Bottom" offer was a 7.8% discount from the MSRP of the car. The MSRP of the 2019 Mustang GT Premium PP was a little of 50K and the offered out the door price was $46,600. Stymee is correct: it is really, really difficult to get 10% off MSRP for a final purchase price; these claims of 7K-8K off the MSRP as a final "Out-The-Door" and "On-The-Road" price are truly hard to believe.
