ive done about 400km, breaking the engine in so not redlining, im a pretty conservative driver in general, since Its my first performance car, eg ive had some boring cars in the past and ive felt the car would break if I drove it hard, (I dont think ive ever red lined a car in my life+ red line=abuse is what ive been taught)

currently sitting on 17L/100km, (not city, not highway, suburban driving)
not too concerned about fuel economy however once finished breaking the engine in, does that mean its going to increase to 20+?

Generally do gear changes about 3k rpm, does auto rev matching chew through fuel?

Would help to know what diff you've got. That sounds off though. I get around 16 mpg driving like an asshat.
we use Litres per 100km here :)

edit: i just googled, 16 mpg =14.7 L/100km

so yeah, you still make a point!

That's also with the 3.15 rear and 10R80. That combo should get the best economy in a GT. Should. Just not with me driving. Pure highway I am able to get 25 mpg (9.4/100 in commie units )
Shouldn't that be Frenchie units.

I'm a bit anal and keep a fuel log on my phone. All time average 13.5l/100. 18 gt auto.

Fuel economy will settle down once the engine has ran in properly.

For me, I drive with no consideration for economy and do very little hwy driving, so mine sits on 18-19 L/100. As others have posted, 13 - 14 L/100 should be where your engine will settle at.

For context, I had a T3 TS50 with the factory stroked 5.6 Windsor V8, that thing used to guzzle fuel at 20 - 22 L/100, it was actually comically bad. And my Miami powered Falcon loves a drink too..........

Cruising at 100-120 it's at 9.3 l/100, not sparing opportunities to open it up. Seen as low as 9.1 strangely after fitting an Air Raid junior kit ie smooth intake tube from airbox to TB. Combo cruise and traffic yields about 10.5 again not gingering it.

Error code #2. Vehicle exhaust sounds like vacuum cleaner. Consult vehicle build spec sheet and count spark plugs on engine. If <8 spark plugs present dispose of vehicle immediately.

(j/k!)

Pffft...my Charger has 16.
Indeed but think about the outrageous weight disadvantage this brings. Most manufacturers use air and fuel to make power but Chrysler... must be be the Fiat/Alpha connection.

That aside, I do like them!
