I've just washed my car thoroughly and I noticed multiple issue on it.
What do you think?

Here is something odd : there is a patch of paint that feels different under my fingers. You can see the sun reflection on the left is the weird part. It stops in a straight vertical line. As if something was protecting the right part but not the left:

If it’s a new car, it’s unacceptable. Real issue is that a respray of the damaged areas could end up worst than using some touch up paint
Tough choice

That first picture screams re-spray.

I can’t work the splitter picture out, is the splitter gloss ?

Also, what colour is that rear spoiler?

The car is brand new. I have replaced the rear taillights though.
It's a european market car, but its appearance is similar to the ecoboost high performance package in the US.

I'm also afraid the repair would be worst that it is now :-(

It's race red.
The rear spoiler is "magnetic".

This is a new car? That's atrocious.

Tough color to have to touch up. I wonder if damage happened in shipping and the dealer tried repairing it? I would inquire with the dealer about it and see how much respray they will do. Also, I've seen good detailers talk dealerships into entire resprays before because they found a whole host of defects the owner missed - so you might take it to an experienced detailer too, for assessment.

I cannot speak for the first 3 pics. But i got same issue on rear spoiler. It happens when Ford drills holes on trunk lid. That causes paint to crack around hole and they are lazy to touch it up before installing spoiler. I just bought touchup pen and filled it.

I understand now on the rear spoiler.

I’m still struggling with the splitter but has the car been nudged, pushing the splitter back into the paint ?

That door has defo had paint.

I know it’s a very difficult decision (I’ve been there with the mustang), but it’s better to throw it back at the dealer and make it their responsibility rather than A) living with it or B) taking on the responsibility and cost to fix it yourself.

Let us know how you go on and I hope it works out for you :like:

Looks like overspray on the door, like the fender was resprayed.

The car is 6 weeks old, I have a little over 1000 miles on it.
It has not been nudge on my watch. There are no other marks at the front or under the splitter.
Thank you all for your input, I will take it to the dealership and see how they plan to deal with it.

Unfortunately, dealers don't have to disclose damage to the car during transit (or before selling it)... but if you ask them point blank, they'd have to tell you, as far as I know. As bad as Ford is with QC, there's no way that car left the factory that way. Good luck.

I do a lot of custom painting and it looks like they painted the fender and taped off part of the door and got overspray on it. Sloppy job. The good thing is that a detailer or body shop can wet sand the overspray off with 2000 grit and buff it back perfect. The real question is- what was damaged and got painted...
