Hey,

I found a dealership selling a 2019 black gt350 at 9k under MSRP ($64k). No dealer add-ons. Do you think that's a solid price?Or would you wait until January?

I'm just thinking that many dealers will start discounting their 2019s soon...maybe even more than $9k (happened to the hellcat).

Black isn't my first color choice. I'd prefer blue, but if it's a great deal, hard to pass up.:like:

Thx

I hope you mean an 'R'? Offer them 11k off and see if they'll bite. They have bills to pay.

I dont think it's an R. He said GT350. 9k under sticker? Not an R.

Hell, at the price, buy it. That's cheap.

9k under MSRP ($64k)
LOL! Yeah, kind of confusing, because the math could work either way.

A $64K selling price that is $9K under MSRP and we could be talking about a $73K R?

Or is he talking about a $64K Base at MSRP selling for $53K?

Either one is pretty awesome!

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to a GT350, not the R.
The $64k is the msrp.

That's a hell of a price and likely a couple grand below invoice. Dealers are wanting to unload any stagnant inventory before the new year... If you are 100% not going to have buyers remorse in not buying your first color choice then pull the trigger and join the rest of us!

You can be sure that many owners paid at least $9K more than you will have to pay. It's hard to pick market bottoms and tops but you are much closer to bottom than the top!

If you can purchase a new 2019 for 9k under msrp you would be crazy not to purchase as this is by far the biggest discount I have seen offered. I received 3k off only a few months back. That being said I'm not sure black is the most flattering color for the 350.

55k. But in any event it's only 14% off an expired model year car. That's nothing to write home about in the greater context. It's only "news" to Shelby owners who are happy to overpay - aka somehow the laws of depreciation and industry markdowns don't apply to their "special" car. Maybe it'll depreciate at 2% less than it's sister Mustangs but nothing major.

Despite the fact it will be a year old car at this point, $9K off is a good price IMO.

Lot's of saltiness in this post. 9K off a special model IS something to write home about. I got a little more than that off my standard GT at the end of the model year so for a snake that is undeniably a great deal.

$9K off on a 19 is a solid deal and I doubt the dealer will go much lower. Maybe try for $10K off. I know someone who just got $12K and change off a brand new 2018 GT350 but they had to go out of state. Some of the smaller, more rural dealers are going to have to give away the 18’s now if you can find one you like.

Based on my experience today the last day of the year namely December 31st is the best day of the year to negotiate a purchase for a Mustang at a deeply discounted price.

With today not only being the last day of the month end, it is also the last day of the 4th quarter and it is obviously also year end with each dealership wanting to close the year off with a sale of a GT350, GT350R, GT500 or any Halo Mustang as their 2019 calendar year sales of Mustang all contribute for allocations during the 2020MY.

If you or anyone cannot negotiate a terrific deal for a Mustang on December 31st then it will never happen.

Dealers at times have to pay a tax to the state for their cars in inventory when the year ends. Virginia does it. Once it crosses that threshold they probably will not make the same deal when the year starts. Better buy it today
