Hey
I am trying to figure out what lower springs to install on my 21 GT performance pack.
Want to drop it down atleast an inch but don’t want to effect ride quality as this is 99 percent a street car. Did this Eibach change the ride ???
Thanks
The Eibach sport line springs do make it a slightly harder ride but must admit with the new 20” alloys and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres it rides great
Mine isn’t a daily so can afford a harder ride when only doing minimal miles

I liked the stance on my GT350 so may just buy those

Cheers 👍 Very happy with how it’s turned out with all the mods! I do enjoy the whole detailing side of things and love the Magnetic in the sun when nicely polished
I don't have a garage, so keeping mine clean is an endless battle :crying:

Their diet up here consists of chips, ice cream and doughnuts. They don’t bother with fish!

Experimenting with different positions on the drive

Lost count of what number visit it is today, but Ford just called after taking the wheel bearing off.

As suspected the thrust washer is what is likely causing this metallic click/clank sound. You can see from the photos how worn it is, and how it has worn against the metal bearing face.

New bearing is available overnight and can be fitted tomorrow, so I've gone for that.

Not 100% convinced that a new bearing was needed, but if it means the Stang is in top shape for my Scotland trip then I'm happy.

Final verdict coming tomorrow

These arrived today from American Car Craft so get them stuck on. Quite tidy but expensive for what they are.

Ford are done, collecting after work today.

They were good enough to send me a short video clip of where exactly they thought the noise was coming from.

old bearing clicking.JPG

With the old bearing in place, the tech could hold the driveshaft and rotate the bearing back & forth and hear a clicking due to some play. New part - no noise. As above photos show, the washer had taken a beating, so new one in, and obviously the one time use nut was replaced with the new style one.

An expensive month with this and the new shock absorber, but happy knowing I'm all set for my roadtrip :sunglasses:

It's all fun and games until you snap a bolt :frown:

I was installing BMR Vertical links and torquing the top bolt. Will have to find a titanium replacement on eBay.

Then trying to install the toe rods, they're not as wide as the stock.

Had to bodge them wider using a bolt, 2 nuts and 2 spanners.

On the bright side the toe knuckle bearing was all good, so don't have to worry about replacing that.
