Fitted a new battery too, the old one was draining noticeably quicker

Hiya,

These are the bits before I fitted them. I can get more in-situ on Friday afternoon.

Were they easy to fit/glue, some of the reviews, albeit a year or 2 back and not for the Mustang weren't happy with the fitment ?

I am wondering if an auto upholsterer would be able to do this at a comparable price as my colour choice is not in the range.

If Iā€™d used spray adhesive the knee pads would have been a bit easier but other than that it was patience by doing a bit at a time rather than trying to do the entire panel at once. Also dry fitting so that you know where you want to place the piece and where to stretch.

In terms of quality and fit, theyā€™re no worse than the other sets Iā€™ve bought but in terms of looks they trump what Iā€™ve had before.
7.5/10 for quality and fit
9/10 for looks

Iā€™d have thought so. I guess itā€™s just a little bit more involved as theyā€™d probably need to template out what you wanted rather than already have it off the shelf.

My previous stuff, alcantara with yellow stitching, that I had made cost Ā£70 for gear shift / handbrake and Ā£50 for the armrest, so notwithstanding any difference in material costs, broadly similar.

What did that involve? I had mine done in Jan, she only had 15k on her so just did the oil and filter. Spike about plugs but the shop said there wasn't any need. I go to a specialist RS shop thats ford approved.

Not technically today as its raining pretty badly in the Lakes.
Yesterday though i fitted Steeda Rear Shock Mounts, Steeda Rear Vertical Links with PolyBush, Steeda front and rear Sway Bar end links. First time i have ordered from Steeda Very happy with the products top quality fit and finish.

I also clocked all my suspension rubber bushes while on Axle stands...never again what a Txxt haha

I would be interested to know what you think of the vertical links and if you can tell any difference :like:

I thought clocking the bushes needed to be done when the car was sat under itā€™s own weight and not on axle stands ?

I will let you know about the vertical links pal, need a full wheel alignment first with having everything off.

Yes you are correct mate, i achieved this by putting the axel stands on the hubs, I have 4 3 ton axel stands and lowered the car on to these with the wheels off. Took measurements of the car on a flat surface first then compared to them to when sat on the axle stands to make sure i was getting the same load on the suspension and it was bang on. :)

Who do you have in mind for your alignment ? Youā€™re not too far from me and Iā€™m wouldnā€™t know who to trust to do it properly.

I will need to get it done after fitting my Steeda stuff so any recommendations would be really appreciated :like:
