Changed the oil to 0w30 as per recommendation by MAP ready for mapping on Friday.

Also removed the Roush axle back and refitted the standard exhaust.
Why the exhaust?

Just find it too loud for me with normal driving. Sounds great when pushing on though.

Plan is the weld bypass valves so I can turn the noise on and off when it suits.

Had car MOT'd. It failed. Front suspension arm ball joint excessively worn. Not sure if it would have been covered by warranty given my suspension mods but the logistical issues relating to getting it to the nearest Fordstore in the next couple of weeks means i'm paying to have it done closer. Of course the part is on back-order so its touch and go whether it'll be here in time for the re-test...

In it for the long haul with this car but I sure as hell ain't buying another new one...

No idea, how do I find out? Should be a late one... it’s a shadow edition
Just pop your VIN into Etis (or if you don't have an account just ask someone to do it for you). Window sticker site is an alternative, and blend date should be near enough to the build date.

They said it affected builds up to 26th July 2016 but quite obviously they were still fitting old-rev coolers to newer builds. Poor, that. If they had a part with a known fault they should have junked all existing stock.
Unless of course the new rev has a similar weakness.

This is the thing that worries me most about keeping my car now that the warranty is up. Mine came in the 1st batch, before the problem was "fixed"

Right you are. Been a long time since I was staring at a window sticker all day every day

Think i'll be spending some more cash with JWR as soon as the current couple of warranty issues are out of the way...
