Still faffing around chasing my creaky rear suspension, 99% convinced it’s a bearing issue that needs grease, so may end up at Ford this week.

like an idiot i put both hands on the rear hip to push down on the suspension, heard the panel pop and have a couple of small dents to show for my stupidity. Barely noticeable but now I know they are there…

ahhhh well, guess i’ll be looking at calling a paintless repair guy

Guy has been out this morning (Clever Dent Repair in Wantage, Ox). Very impressed with the work.

Didn't realise they use the glue pulling technique as a last resort. Youtube videos suggest that was not the case. Traditional methods are more favoured in this country apparently - he went in from the boot, and use the long rods to "push" the dent back out - no hammering. But then light tapping on the outside panel to get it perfect.

After he left, I did notice a very subtle dent was still there, 10x less noticable than what I had there before but I reckon he may have just missed it in the lighting, I'll tell him. He actually found 2 more shallower dents towards the rear corner and sorted those too - so 4 dent fixes. £80 well spent.

my ordered 240vac>12vdc / 10amp adaptor arrived so now I can blow up the tyres without having to run the engine. Also helps blow up the bicycle tyres. I had wanted to buy a 240v inflator but it was either a non portable compressor or a 12vdc pump.

That is a good idea as my tyres are always loosing pressure and being able to use the tyre compressor from the house instead of firing up the engine and using the precious jungle juice!

Following the tradition of "it ain't clean until pictures are posted" I give you the Missus' GT polished to within an inch of its life....

It's now 20mm lower - thanks go to @Supersolo for the springs (it's taken forever to find the time to fit them) and 20mm wider with the spacers.

Looked the absolute dog's danglies until it rained an hour later... ho hum...

indeed, it is quite handy. Just make sure you get a properly rated one, many are 2Amp which seems pointless. I got a 10Amp one and the pump runs just fine.

ordered some one piece wheel nuts thanks to CJJon and wd pro for confirming what i needed. Shortly afterwards and I'm sure completed unrelated I got a letter from the Ford garage that services and has MOT the car, asking to buy it back from me - no offer included but a nice QR code thingy to start the process. For the shts and giggles I am tempted to see what they'd offer.

Clicked the little Pony’s back in after painting them in satin black :

It’s surprising how much difference the nuts and Pony’s make to the overall look of the car when you are trying to get rid of the silver bits and Ford gives you this as a starting point :

I know the blacked out look isn’t for everyone :like:

heh heh, I had a black 350z (terrible ownership experience) that one or more of its previous owners had added to the blackness with black wheels, the black wheel nuts and blacked out badges. Too much black, thank lord the door handles were still silver so I could get the damned thing. When it hadn't drained the battery, or broke down again. Grrrr

I would have had a black Mustang if I hadn't got the cancelled order on the guard.
