I actually swapped them from one side to the other. When I had looked closely at their original figment they clearly didn’t fit correctly in their orifice and upon removal the unit has slightly different shape and swapping then from side to side, the shape of the unit matches shape of orifice.

and they now match Google images too.

Just checked my car, you're right!
Flippin'eck, how did Ford manage to do that. Usually we design that stuff with specific features to prevent that.
Good spot, I would never have noticed that on my car.

Hit 20k miles yesterday! Note my current mpg - lots of long commutes, getting very close to that magic 400 range when i fill up!

I'd happily drive that. What they have given me is a 1litre fabia. Oh and I chased for an update and they haven't started it yet.

How did you manage to persaude the dealer that the evap core was the issue?

I've had 2 regasses and shown the dealer the tsb.

They dispute the tsb claiming its for US cars only, theres no issue in europe and advise me its normal for refrigerant to simply disappear. I suppose it was Halloween. Spooky...

Honestly Fords service levels beg belief

Are these issues occurring on 2019 and 2020 models as well?

I went in with the TSB. Conversation went like this with the melt of the guy booking it in:

Me, its more than likely the evap core, heres a TSB
Ford, it wont be its not common on the UK cars.
Me, it is common, I am member of a big club and seen lots failing I also have family in America and they are having issues over there too. Where do you think this car was built? Look into it please
Ford, some few hours later phone and say, its the Evap core, there is a much later TSB we found and used that.

This is Furrows in Oswetry and I talked to a mechanic there and he said hes done one previous to mine. Its now been in a week, the service manger seems great there but the guy on the desk is a right clown. I would advise you garage to riing Furrows and ask for carl the service manager to confirm these are being done in the UK.

I would doubt it, I beleive they changed the part. Could be wrong, others wil prob chime in here but I think its only 15 and 16 year mustangs. Mines a late 16. Aircon was bad at 5800 miles, gave up at 8000 ish

Alright. I take delivery of mine in about 10 days. Hopefully it's all good.

Not “Fords service levels” is it, it’s a specific franchised dealer being awkward, I say name and shame at every opportunity, that or go on LinkedIn and post about your experience and Andy Barrat the CEO of Ford UK is always happy to help. His email address is on there too.

In my quest for improved shifting, I got a new shift knob today. It's a Shift Solutions BK in Unicorn Sparkle... yeah I know, that's really what they called it, but looks good I reckon!
