Not that i'm aware of.

Edelbrock use a modified Airaid CAI box and just open up the hole to fit the larger MAF body in. So the carbon trap will be the there for standard cars too.

I was going to remove it yesterday but just forgot lol.

I'm working on the car this morning so might pull it out if i have the time.

Had a few bits arrive yesterday and had an hour spare today so cracked on firing a few bits.

first up was a Velossa tech big mouth.
Since supercharging the car and going stage 2 I have been getting higher IAT’s. I decided to refit the standard grille but swap the chrome badge for a gloss pony from Ford (£31)

I already had a US spec lower grille in the garage so fitted it as well.

The CAI kit from Edelbrock is a sealed box but there are no actual seals where the MAF housing is or where the lid Bolts down so I ordered some foam seal and made a gasket seal between the surfaces. Hoping there will be less (Or no) engine bay air Drawn in through the joints now.

Brake pads all round will be tomorrow’s job and it gives me a week to bed them in before next weeks speed event at Elvington airfield.

Also now have a genuine California special grille for sale if anyone is interested.

Is that Velossa tech big mouth functional with any intake system? Stock sealed box, GT350 style open air element?

Yes as it fits between the grille and air box intake Passage way. It will only fit the standard grille though as far as I’m aware.

I fitted this to help reduce backwash from the rad at low speeds and in traffic.

My recent change has been this...
Having been unhappy with the notchy, agricultural shift of my MT-82 box, I swapped out the tranny fluid for Motul Multi DCTF and the bottom line is: Instant Improvement. Particularly when cold, but also when warmed up, shifts are a smoother, less clunktastic affair than before. I'd previously added a Boomba shifter assembly bracket and the combination of the two is quite agreeable (although the bracket does cause some tranny whine at higher revs). I finally feel happy with the way the car drives now.

That's very useful to know, thanks for sharing.
I run Ford spec Motul engine oil, so next time I'm buying, I'll likely buy the transmission oil & have the original replaced.
Cheers!

Bought a Quickjack from Costco today to make working on the car easier and quicker. No more trolley jack and stands. It runs from 12v supply so either from the car you are lifting a spare battery so it’s quite mobile.

will also be handy for the Westfield too.

got mine dyno'd today, stock GT 17 plate. It was picking up some knock and so the timing was being pulled by the ECU and the graph shows it vividly. Using SUL so not much else fuel wise I can do but can't er knock 370 at the hubs :D

Interesting they stocked DC models. I didn't want DC but when I ordered on-line they only sold the AC.

Always thought my puddle lamps were poor........... Decided to take a look today and discovered they had been (poorly) fitted on the wrong sides :headbang:
Easily fixed :like:

I've consulted my Motul catalogue & I'm having difficulty cross referencing the oil specs quoted by Motul & Ford, to ensure I use appropriate oil.
Which product did you use, specifically?

You've turned the light through 180 degrees?
Just that now it looks as though the puddle light isn't as close to the car, so as to illuminate any puddles there may be, upon egress?

This is the stuff for anyone interested:
https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-73990-motul-multi-dctf-dual-clutch-car-gearbox-oil-dry-wet-dct.aspx
Conforms to Ford spec WSS-M2C-200-D2, which is what the owners manual says is required. You'll need to order 3 litres of the stuff. Still working very well in my car!

I actually swapped them from one side to the other. When I had looked closely at their original figment they clearly didn’t fit correctly in their orifice and upon removal the unit has slightly different shape and swapping then from side to side, the shape of the unit matches shape of orifice.

and they now match Google images too.
