What I did to my Mustang today was I sold it! I have severe arthritis in my back and I have tried for 4 years to deal with the back pain caused by the seat, with no luck. I hated to do it and will miss it but I just can't drive it anymore. ā˜¹
Tough getting old, isn't it?

All my life I was convinced in my youth that a sports car was not a sports car unless it had 8 cylinders with 300+ horsepower, a stick shift. When I reached 65+ clutch pedals became harder on the knees, memory lapses to remember to put in neutral/set the hand brake became a consideration, as well as squeezing into a low, 2-door car in a narrow garage. Well.......perceptions of younger years give way to age-relevant wisdom eventually. Decided to give up my ZX-10R at 65 years old. I miss it, and miss those to-the-limits track days, but I have never once regretted admitting it was time to let it go. I hope you too find peace with your decision to sell the Mustang.

As a friend recently told me, getting old isn't for sissies. Hang in there John.

71 years young, still driving a manual as I have all my driving life. Knees and memory are fine. Automatics are for pussies.

Not in your guys age range but at 47 Ive put my body through hell. Have a 6 speed mustang gt for good days and an automatic 66 cuda for bad days! Either way I plan to ride till the wheels fall off.

My old man has a 68 Cuda and 69 Charger, if all goes to plan one day theyā€™ll be mine. What those cars will mean to me is exactly why Iā€™m planning to keep my mustang to one day give it to my kids.

Awesome! What is the HP/TRQ gains on the cobra jet? Looking to maximize a N/A build and curious how much one would push to the wheels with intake/exhaust/headers/cobra jet.

Spent some time installing a slew of new parts yesterday. New Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, Maximum Motor Sport Caster/Camber plates while I had the struts disassembled, Rokblokz splash guards. Ran out of time to install the Ford Performance hood struts, Iā€™ll prob get to that on Sunday.

All in time for a fresh coating of 5ā€ of snow to fall so I couldnā€™t take it out to admire my handiwork. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜‚

Was a fun project!

New tires and alignment today! Continental DWS 06 Plus. I'm loving them so far and not misssing the stock POS Pzero Neros for a second. I can't believe I put up with them until today but I was just being a cheap bastard........

The car is so smooth now and actually has some grip for once. We still have lots of snow but the roads were clean and dry so I figured I'd get them on since I will be getting her out more now.

Also I have to say I have really missed this car while it was stored so it was a blast to help seat the new rubber today. :)

A day late posting as usual.

Ordered 4 Apex 19x10 ET40s SM-10s in anthracite for it:

Would have preferred silver but Apex only had 1 for months and says they will never make more silver SM-10s for a Mustang. Thought about bronze but it's matte and I love shiny.

Also ordered a wall mount garage door opener. My car's therapist confided with me that the car has anxiety about the overhead opener falling.

A little more expensive than a comparable overhead but basically just because it requires a separate device to lock the door in position. But very quiet, easier to install, and nothing overhead taking up space or blocking/dictating locations for overhead lights, etc.

Update: more research led to cancelling the wall mount opener.
