Went out for a cruise with a buddy that has a H/C C6 Zr1. Was able to take a rip in the zr1 and wow that car is on another level. My car is faster in the straights but driving that car was unlike anything I’ve ever driven.

Matte was definitely the right choice.

I blacked out that obscenely ugly coolant tank, and the washer fluid lid. Left a little strip next to the min and max to read the level though.

Neat idea! I like this. Glad you left a spot so you can still see the coolant level. I was gonna laugh if it was completely covered up accidentally. 🤣 This looks great!

A few months back I ordered the Ford Performance rear Quarter Window Louvers in Shadow Black. Very nice high Quality, they have the matching Honeycomb grill pattern inside the lovers, matching my PP Grill.

But I Didn't install them then, as they had an Orange 🍊 Peel finish. OCD!!

So!! Yes you guess it... Picked them up from my Painter last Saturday
Ford Gloss Black to match my Spoiler and Heat Extrators....OMG!! :inlove:
Not Cheep but Worth every Penny , as you can see in the pics.
with the hanging lamp reflection..

I'll be waiting till early spring now when the Garage is warm for installation,
and RUBY'S back on the road. I'll post installed pics then.

Below is the Part Num if your interested.

First pic there just gently sitting in place, you can see the orange peel if you zoom in.

I can’t take credit for the idea, I found it on this site where someone else did it years back and thought it beat paying 85 bucks for a cover!

Hope to have time to get this on this weekend. Honestly with today's prices didn't see myself buying this brand anytime soon. Thanks to @beefcake for making it happen. Best pricing out there & arrived quicker than I expected.
Headers and catback are both Kooks brand?

Debated all day and decided to treat myself @tj@steeda H pipe on a crazy good Cyber Monday deal $168 delivered and @beefcake Kooks LTH 1.875” for $2425 delivered. My household CFO is not going to be happy about these self indulgent purchases but user name fits so……

Installed new air filter and have a question about the top fitment.

New filter:

Old filter. Definitely needed changing:

But a question about the fitment of the air box top. Been a while since I changed the filter and don't recall this but maybe just didn't much care?

Here are pictures of the side and rear latches:

1669681076901.png

1669681336186.png

On the side (top photo), the lid is resting on that notch and latch is easy to set. On the rear the lid is barely in the notch and it takes a lot more effort to latch it. On and off a few times and can't find any obstructions. Doesn't matter which latch I set first.

Is this just a case of manufacture tolerances for the lid or box? How does this compare to your factory air box?

And all this got me curious about the below pic. Looking down on the inside rear of the air box lid, top of photo towards center of car. What is that projection on the side of the box?
