What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

This was Saturday, but I picked up a new stable mate for my 2020 GT. I got a 1965 Mustang coupe. It has a 302, T-5 and Wilwood front disc brakes. I am already getting new rims and tires for it.

I noticed the rear plate - can you tell me how your dealings were with Streetside Classics? Did you broker a deal out of state with them or local? Did they flex on their advertised price at all? Reason I ask is I've seen a few SC vehicles on their site that I was interested in, but it's hard shopping "distance", plus there's always mixed reviews online about XYZ consignment shops.

I've seen quite a few nice 66-66 coupes for sale - V8 conversions and true V8's....

Fastbacks are the sweet spot, but they're becoming almost "unobtainable" with some crazy ass asking prices anymore... I saw a T-code Fastback converted to a Shelby Tribute - damn nice and spot on replication, but an asking price of $125k.... for THAT $$$, I'd spend the $125k+ on a GENUINE 65/66 GT350.... not on a T-code conversion.

There was a white K-Code Fastback on eBay in the last 2 weeks that was a buy it now for $45k out in CA... it was a STEAL for whoever scooped it up.... because it was in driver condition and practically original, no rot at all - and it was RARE, because although not really desirable to some, it had an auto transmission. It was in dry storage for years. Put it this way, some cleanup and it would be an easy flip at $60k - totally nut & bolt resto, push that figure to $75k+....

It's not sitting on dirt or stone is it? If it is, there's going to be quite a bit or moisture build up under it, even if sitting behind the enclosure.

Not at all I have her sitting on a 20'-20' thick poly vapour barrier it's unreal the amounts of moisture under plastic

What did I do? Updated Sync 3, took 1 hr, 45 minutes to update the Maps. Sunday morning blown. Even worse took out the ability for my phone to sync up and it wouldn't delete the other phone and the current one in settings. 4 hours later was driving and Sync prompted me on screen (while driving) to delete the phone and try reconnecting. I was able to do it after that. Other things to get to, resonator delete, new tires and recall.

Not that I am aware of. Ordered mine straight from them. Good guys, CEO answers his own email and confirmed shipping. Pretty quick considering it all shipped from the UK.

I just got done putting a set of Rokblokz on, this car is going to be driven 12 months out of the year and I don’t want winter road gravel tearing up the sides of the car. They’re pretty unobtrusive and seem well made. I’d say they’re totally worth the money, took it for a spin and it looks like the cinders are staying confined to the wheel wells nicely now. Noise from driving through them is noticeably decreased too. 10/10
