This is an interesting pic/car. Is that an actual race car? Or just someone's toy they've modded for the track?

Toy, according to them it used to be a regular GT street car. But they race with it, not sure where though.

I went to Steeda's site and read up on it. They race it at various SCCA events.

Not a built race car, but they sure as heck race it. Interestingly it has a 5.2L Aluminator engine in it.

I was stopped in traffic for a red light when an out of state driver inher company Nissan Altima slammed into me from behind. I didn’t hear sounds of braking, so I think she must have been looking at something other than the road ahead of her. No injuries and the airbags didn’t deploy. The rear bumper cover is torn, and I suspect that the absorber will need to be replaced, and maybe the impact bar. I have $1,000 deductible and since this was 100% the other driver’s fault, I hope to get her company’s insurance to pay for the repairs. Does anyone know if the bumper cover can be purchased prepainted from Ford? If not, do they paint the replacement bumper covers on or off the car?

No, they're not pre-painted. They're painted off the car, although I don't understand why you ask.

I’m still trying to decide if I can trust a dealer to fix it, or if I should get the parts and fix it myself. I’ve never let anyone else work on my Mustang before. Installing a pre painted bumper cover is within my skill set. Painting is not.

Gotcha;

I had the same damage on my 2016. It needed a new crash-bar (or whatever it's called) and bumper cover.

The key is to ask some other car-friends what body shop in your area is the best. Find the place that works on exotics, and knows how to handle customers who view their cars as more than transportation appliances.

An amazing event with all manner of car enthusiasts.

Including Vaughn Gittin Jr's personal Mustang in the middle.

Not today, but the other day I installed the brushed aluminum dead pedal to match the other pedals. Just a small detail.

I think you have a missing pedal........

Actually looks like a shadow clutch...

Forgot a shot of OEM red vs OEM clear, I know many people always worry about the brightness of aftermarket tails.

IMG-6478.jpg
OEM vs OEM I would expect to be the same brightness, no? Ive seen the sketchy aftermarket tails that are way more dim but yours should be the same as the red factory tails, right? Considering the same swap on my shadow black M1 but $700 is a decent chunk of change for a purely cosmetic mod.

Nice! Is that just a cover or a whole new pedal?

Installed Steeda low profile Jack rails so I could remove and clean up my wheels and remove the shipping block my knucklehead dealership left in place when I took delivery last week. So frustrating!!!!
