3 hour drive. Went down the interstate, got off a random exit and found my way back home.

So this is for cloth interior folks .... leather folks wouldnt appreciate it not "having come from cloth"

First grocery run in the new Katskins - getting out, one's butt spins soooo easy!!
Then noticed getting in you slip smoothly into position.

I hear ya smirkin' lol. but it's really such a difference for the positive I had to mention it in case you were like me looking for the look and ease of cleaning. There's another benefit :)
I do think I'll swap in katzkins at some point, even though the work to take apart the seats really sucks. I will say I actually like the cloth seats in these cars, they're very comfortable.

Seat material. Funny as I went from leather to katzkin leather with red suede inserts (see my avatar) and now STICK to the suede!! Love the look and feel. Plus not as hot when wearing shorts which I do most all summer.

Installed the manual shift boot with red stiching. All the other red was already there. Had to swap over the 5spurs red shifer surround. Only lost one screw down the shifter assy.

Dusted it off and went for a spin. Stopped by Ford to check out a 22 GT/CS. Nice but prefer my velocity blue.

Funny, I did the same thing. Went to several new car dealers and almost no new vehicles at any of them, regardless of make. I'm glad I'm not really in the market right now, but I'm always looking...lol.

Yeah. This lot was empty except for 2 stangs and a few broncos. It used to be packed.

Finished up my ESS G3 install. Added a Mishimoto coolant reservoir and Ecoboost performance pack boost gauge.

Installed BMR rear shock mounts, thinking I could also put in the rear strut tower brace. Got the passenger's side inside mount done, but I guess I need new drill bits; took 1/2 hr - 45 minutes to get through the sheet metal. Putting in the driver's side mount... PAIN IN THE ASS! Blasted fuel hose barely moves, even unbolting its brackets :explode:. Not sure how anyone else did it, but definitely have a helper give you a hand (as they state in the instructions. What a novel concept. Following instructions! :headbang:)

there's special high strength steel used in that area which resists drilling and probably work-hardens to boot.

Majority of swirls are introduced by owners. You couldn't pay me to use any kind of waterless wash.

Richard
I agree. You have to spray with water to spray off as much dirt/dust as possible. Then spray with a foam cannon and hand wash with a high quality Micro Fiber wash glove. Never touch or wipe your paint if it has any dust at all. Swirl Marks will occur. Never go through a Touch type Car wash with your nice car for you will create swirl marks. Paint just doesnt seem to be as tough as it use to be.
