I installed the BMR IRS Cradle Lockout kit today. I was worried about the install because I read where a lot of people said they ran into issues. But I got it installed, took my time...might have taken me 1.5 hours total. I also lubed the disk brake surface where it contacts the pad of the wheel, loosened my x-pipe and straightened out my left muffler--it was slightly crooked and has been bothering me for a minute.

That BMR lockout kit--you guys weren't lying when you said it was the first mod you should do. The ride is so much improved! I could feel it even pulling out of my driveway onto the road.

I really needed a longer extension for my 1/2" breaker bar, it would have helped keep my blood inside me where it belongs lol

I pulled the oil neck off since I'm no longer running the cover. Much better
What have you guys done with the stud for the engine cover? Does it come out easily?
You can see it there at the top of the picture. I wouldn't mind not seeing that

From looking at your picture, looks like the stud is not threaded in, maybe molded in. If that’s the case, you have a couple options. 1 is to find some sort of rubber vacuum end cap that fits over it, the other would be to cut it off (much more expensive to reverse though, if you ever feel you need to.)

Determine the thread size, get two nuts, lock them together (make a hex head basically) and see if it will back out. My guess it's molded in and this won't work.

On my way to Cars and Coffee this morning in Hunt Valley, Md. and they had a section of the highway torn up for re-paving. It uncovered some huge potholes in the left lane, so I did this:

That's what I'll probably end up doing, finding a long vacuum cap to fit. I don't want to cut, I was hoping someone has explored this before and would tell me it just unscrews.

You're probably right. I won't mess with it. Not worth the potential headache

Sure hate to see this. I had the same thing happen to me when I had my '18.

I used these to cover up studs.

Why not just angle grind the stock ones? 😬

Uh, no angle grinder?

I received a birthday $25 coupon from a dealer, so the shields cost me just $7.

it's fixable at least without replacing the wheel

"Luckily" a few months ago I hit a similar pothole on Route 1 in Pennsylvania and actually cracked the barrel of the drivers side front. These are KMC 20's and they don't make them anymore. After searching forums, marketplace, eBay, etc., I found a set locally at a place called No Limit, interestingly also on Route 1 in Baltimore. They wouldn't sell me just 1 though, because KMC doesn't make them anymore, so what good would having 3 rims, 1 eight inch and 2 ten inch do them? So they made me buy all 4, ($1300) so I have 1 spare front and 2 spare rears. Life is funny like that.

Cleaned her up, then applied hybrid ceramic.

That is some shine. Looks great. What is a hybrid ceramic? I still do old school carnauba waxes and they seem to shine well too. Just wondering what the difference is.

Installed the Velossa Big Mouth, and did the oil change (and checked the bikes for our ride tomorrow :))
