Japanese (market) cars have had lights on the door edge for many years. And they don't waste time on useless nonsense like puddle lamps.

Many domestics have had lights on the doors since the 60's/70's. Not so common anymore though.

Honest question...what's a puddle lamp?

Puddle lamb is probably a small sheep that gets dropped into a puddle? :D

But really - puddle lamps are in the upper trims of S550 mounted into the underside of the sideview mirrors and light up the ground when door is opened. They are supposed to shine light so you don't step out of the car in a puddle. Some other cars mount this on the underside of the car.

Bullitt (and I think GTs) have the running pony as this.

LOL...great catch, didn't realize I said "lamb".

Ahhhh, ok. Honestly I never noticed these until my 10 & 4 year old pointed them out to me. They light up when you unlock the car as well, I think. I had no clue they actually had a purpose. Thought it was one of those..."ohhhh, look at this cool feature" things that some get all excited about.

The fact that it is shaped specifically (which also restricts the coverage area it lights up) makes it more of a cool thing, like a signature thing. Lot of cars have it, for example new Escalade has it in the back to also show you where to "kick" for the foot activated tailgate. Lots of cars also project their logo via it.

Ford especially has been doing this for a long time. And they go back as far as probably some Caddies in 80s.

Looks good. How chilly is it with the top down? Once it drops below 60 degrees for a morning temp, it's a bit nippy to drive the Gladiator with the top and doors off at 80 mph on the highway.

They would be much better if they changed color when you use the Mycolor feature.

Finally, Maggie is complete after the hail damage fiasco. I'm glad the backordered trim piece is installed. They fixed the loose spoiler bolt that happened when they were doing the paintless dent repair, too. The frustrations came with how they treated me in the meantime. It took me basically yelling at them and calling their rudeness out for them to be nice to me since. Things are good now.

I love those rims, can you give me some information about them?, thank you.
Those are 19x11 SVE GT-7's from LMR, and are bronze in spite of looking gray. They haven't been available through LMR for a while but will hopefully be back. I love them - they're lighter than the OEM 19x9 wheels and super easy to clean. The bronze seems to hide brake dust really well, too. Here's an old ad for them. Might check with LMR to see if/when they will be back in stock.

also known as MRR M600. You can find them anew on ebay in black. Either people found them in the back of a warehouse or someone commissioned another run.

Both the LMR and MRR are identical. LMR's are just white-box from the same factory. I have a couple sets still new in the box (19x10/11 gray, 20x11 bronze) but I shudder to think what shipping would be to Spain.
