Where did this come from, I like it.30 second mod, no tools required - just pop it on the existing mounts. Don't know why I didn't buy one a long time ago ... handy to keep those grocery bags (etc) from flying around the trunk.
Oh they will swell .Redeemed my Ford Pass points for the black lug nut kit from Ford Performance. They were like $250 or something through the dealer, but that turned into $40 for me after my points, lol. Not sure if I wasted my money though, they clearly aren't 1 piece like the aftermarket ones. But for how much they cost, I would assume they won't swell like the stock ones.
Guess we'll find out. The regular Ford Performance silver ones are very highly regarded, and these have the same base metal underneath which isn't inferior like the stock ones.Oh they will swell .
I should try and cash in my points for the Ford Performance wheel center caps. I want them but not at nearly $40 a piece.Redeemed my Ford Pass points for the black lug nut kit from Ford Performance. They may not be any more resistant to swelling/deforming than the oem units, but two things really does these in over time:Redeemed my Ford Pass points for the black lug nut kit from Ford Performance. That's good for 10 HP right there.I was messing around with a Civic the other day. He/She started puling on me for a moment around ~60mph. Kept it in 5th and caught up soon, but my car was feeling slow. So...I picked up a new license plate frame.

yes, sorry to say - all those are is the OEM aluminum capped lugs painted black…. I would return them and get something else for your points…. They’re definitley going to swell, dent, and the coated surface will get damaged (cheap coating).Oh they will swell .
I understand it has a swaged cap, but I can't really understand why they cost so much if it's just the cheap OEM one painted black. Clearly something different has to be going on here. Especially since it's not like the other chrome Ford Performance ones are overpriced, it's $12.49 per 5. $62 for a set, which is right in line with the Gorilla offerings. These are essentially $12.50 EACH. So where is the extra money going? Is the base nut made of 409 stainless or something? Is the PVD coating really that expensive?yes, sorry to say - all those are is the OEM aluminum capped lugs painted black…. I would return them and get something else for your points…. Get the Gorilla lugs, many have posted positive remarks about those as being the best choice.
