No truer words posted LMAO ....That thing did not last a day on my car.

I installed mishimoto radiator today for my ecoboost. I was able to remove it without removing intercooler lol. I simply used a little multi tool and chopped the legs off the old radiator, mishimoto comes with attachable legs so I attached them once I had everything secured. Found out I have a exhaust leak so I need a new clamp, for my downpipe below car. No big deal.
Took me 2 hours.

Question. My car used to stay 185-225, wit the new radiator, it cools down to 175. Is that going to be a problem? It is when the thermostat opens, and it just drops down to 175. I’ve never had my engine cool that low before other than warming up.

just opinions. Thanks. You can’t overcool an engine yeah? I assume Itl just keep thermostat closed, but if when it opens thermostat, is 175 anything to be worried about.

I had the Ford Performance power pack II kit installed today on my 20 PP2 car today. So far very happy.
Glad your worked. Mine didn't. I have '21 software as the car is a late build 4th qtr. Sucks !

Yes got all done. The hardest part was removing the sound enhancement tube. So I’m very pleased with it.

Disconnected the illuminated door sills, installed the Steeda rear sway bar. Car handles much better when pushed hard in curves.

It will likely cause issues running that cool. Too cool = less efficient and it takes oil much longer to get to temp. Can also cause sludging.

Pulled it out of storage for the day, installed the steeda clutch spring and took it to work. Forgot what having power felt like. Was like a new car, lol. Clutch is a little better without the weird hump right before the bite that kicks your leg off if you aren't expecting it.

Looks like my coworker had the same idea today, haha. 45F and sunny. Tomorrow looks to be the same.

its a summer car if it matters, but it was 35* on my drive home. I use amsoil signature oil.
Hopefully 175 is not an issue, I only drove it 20 minutes home

if I ever experience driving issues,I will toss a ford perf radiator in next time, regardless my base oem ecoboost radiator is junk. But I think I should be fine. I will say this, at a light my cht’s was raising naturally,
But the second I moved, it was like a 20* drop in seconds

but I didn’t really pay attention to the temps generally, 175 may be a normal temperature drop once thermostat opens for ecoboost, hoping some people chime in on temps

If you never changed the thermostat than I guess it's fine, I just think it's weird a modern engine would have such a low stat temp. But I don't know as much about turbo Fords as I would like.

All the evidence points to the new rad shedding heat MUCH better, which is a good thing of course.

Time to block off half the radiator with cardboard for winter driving. Still don't know why you didn't go with an aftermarket oil cooler if it was the oil temperature that was going into the yellow with hard driving.

What is the stock thermostat setting in that engine? Maybe it's defective and not closing all the way and the new bigger radiator is showing a thermostat issue to show up (ie, causing it to running cooler when going down the road).
