does he fry passerby's when they say something naughty about the car? Or just the 'this is the first place trophy car' hand wave as the judges look on?
Never had anyone say bad things but he'll keep people from getting too close :)

Yesterday:
Drove it twenty miles or so, started it up three times at return.
Don’t get much driving/charging these days. Tried to start it yesterday, got just a click. Connected the charger as I’ve done a few times previously, the backup lamp began flashing. Let it charge h for a couple hours, the charger told me it was 100% full but was six volt! Tried to start it, everything went dark. DARK. Not even a glimmer of odometer miles. Hooked up the charger again, its message was the same this morning: 100%, 6-V. Jumped it from the other car, started and ran fine, restarted three times.

Can a battery go so flat and still hold a charge? I expect to replace it anyway. Had my eye on the XS Power D4700 for quite a while. We’ll see.
Why are you re-starting it three times? That's a real drain on the battery.

Just shut it off and leave it be. Put a charger on it if it's sitting for long periods.
The question was, "Can a battery go so flat and still hold a charge?" Not, "Do you have a good reason to restart it three times after a 20-mile drive?"

Answers are: "Don't know, yet"; and "Yes", respectively.

well, if all you have is 6V your batter is trash. It either shorted or some interconnect leads broke. And do elaborate on what lunacy calls for 'restarting the car 3x after coming home' from a very short drive.

I pulled that silly engine cover off and put it away with the sound tube and factory shifter knob. I’ll keep it in a bin in the basement for when I decide to sell the car. If it was an ecoboost I might want to hide it, but it’s a 5.0 liter V8. Why would I want to hide it under a plastic cover? I also ordered a take-off factory strut tower brace for $150 on eBay.

Screwed up some vinyl install. Looks good from 10ft, but not good enough to make me happy up close.

As the old saying goes practice makes perfect. I’m sure you’ll do fine next time. By the way I thought the matte would look great. It does.

Exterior detail: washed and decontaminated, stripped wax and sealant, UK 3.0 applied. Tomorrow I’ll be applying Gliss; and Dlux to the trim.

Oh, new wiper blades too.

Surprised to see how etched the windshield was from the factory, so I’ll be polishing it soon too before putting on new sealant.

I also have a few boxes of things to install. Hopefully there will be time over the long Thanksgiving weekend.

side note: took the Lex boat out for the second time since I bought the Mustang...the brakes are not the same. I need to remember that.

Pics for what they’re worth.
In person obviously are better.

I hate the black accent wheels. Hate black wheels in general. Next spring I plan to have something new in silver or gunmetal with fatter rubber.
