Gas-price war in Los Angeles, early 1940s: One station went, "Eight gallons for a dollar!" Across the street: "Ha! Twelve for a dollar!" Seems to me the usual price was around twenty or twenty-five cents. That's about what it was when I started driving, IIRC. Of course we overestimated our mileage, and sometimes had to spend some late-night time draining the hoses at closed service stations, just to get home.

Looked at my budget spreadsheet and did a bunch of "what-if" scenarios to see how I can afford my car payments and everything else if I am out of work. Thank you Covid19. Scrapped all my upgrade plans for now.

Samesies... been doing day trading to try and make up income.
I should be ok. But things are going to be tight if it goes beyond a month.
Good luck to you turning profits in this market. Yikes. My investment losses are a combined 35% loss. Not touching anything now.

3/23/2020:

I installed the COBB Stage 1 ots tune as well as K&N drop in filter on my 18 Ecoboost AT today and took it to a test drive for about 25 minutes as well as to fill it up with 93 octane from a local Citigo fueling station.

My first impression of the COBB is good, I noticed that the car got up to speed limit pretty quickly even though I was babying the car for the first 15 minutes to get the oil temp in the normal range. After the car was warmed up I gave about 50% throttle and the car went from 60 to 80mph in just a little over 1 second.

The car with the tune is a lot smoother now especially with the shifting, butter smooth.

After filling up at the local fueling station, I drove about 2 miles before giving it full throttle and noticed the boost pressure peaked at 20.XX psi before dropping to 18-19 psi until I let off the accelerator (had to brake to slow down, got up to high speeds very quickly).

It was very hot today (IAT around 90F) in about 90F humid weather in central FL, I will visit the local quarter mile drag strip when it gets cold again later this year to see how the car does.

My car's current mods are (2018 Ecoboost Mustang 10A):

CVF street intercooler

COBB AP V3 stage 1 93 octane tune

K&N drop in filter (oiled).

Same here bro. I was looking at throwing $3,500 at the car this year, but no way I'm doing that now.
I'm 3 months ahead on payments, thank God. Sending in a payment early tomorrow morning on the way into work actually. lol

Curbed my wheel. ☹ First time after being careful not to after 4 years. Did it by cutting a corner that I've taken almost every day for 10 years, that I've never cut before.

I can only be mad at myself. Oh well.

Congrats. I added one to my 18’ a couple months after I bought the car. It’s still one of the best mods I’ve done.

Yeah it’s pretty sweet, I’m happy with it. Yours bolted right on I take it ? No modification of that back plate ?

No bolts right in if I remember it correctly. Hardest part was trying to not break any dashboard clips. That got a little nerve racking.

Finally taught my wife how to drive manual.... in my whipple supercharged GT :cwl: I was a little nervous to be honest, but she did really good with it. I thought it would be smart to teach her in case of emergencies, as well as just to be able to enjoy the car like i do. A few mistakes as any first timer would but overall she was able to get it pretty well! I just airred the car up all the way so she didnt have to worry about scraping my carbon splitter, and put the car in wet/snow mode and comfort steering to tone down the power a bit and help with traction. It was fun and hope to get her behind the wheel again soon!
