I have the same rear side markers. I think they look better than the Diode Dynamics versions. Tip to make them last. Seal the connector socket to the body of the LED housing where the O ring is with some epoxy. The seals are not good enough to keep water out and eventually the LEDs start to fail. I've had mine for a couple years. Still working fine.
That’s good to know. I’ll do that tomorrow. Easy job.

I installed a Kicker Q Class L7 8". This is the first subwoofer enclosure I've ever designed by myself. It was built with the help of my dad. He's getting up in age, so it was really nice working with him on this project. This enclosure will always hold a special place in my heart. It's powered by a Kicker Key 500.1. It sounds great, plays deep, and it's pretty loud. The Mustang logo is attached with magnets, so if I change vehicles I can change the logo.

I don't have a photo, but a tip from my install today. A friend ordered a pair of brushed aluminum dead pedal covers, one for each of our cars. As many know, they go on with tape. You only get one chance to get this right.

My tip? Pull the dead pedal out and install the cover at the workbench. The dead pedal is only held on with three clips and pops off...

Took it for a drive on the Infinity Highway and let it pose for a group picture.
Are the posted speed limits to Infinity as well? 😁

THAT is a very nice sub box!

Fan of Kicker subs myself, have had plenty in years past.

My 94 Cobra has a stealth system I put into it… Can’t tell there is a system at all when looking into the interior. It has an old school Kicker 10” Round Solo Baric sub, and it’s required box dimensions were only about as big as the woofer - it’s like a 12x12 box or so…. It hits HARD and still sounds great…. not bad for a sub that was installed over 18 years ago…

Those Solo Baric subs were so great, I bought (2) back in the day. The other is still brand new in its box… and boy who would have thought they would command some $$$ today.

I had original JL Audio subs years ago, but to me, they just don’t hit as nice as the Kickers do. Not that JL is inferior components, just personal preference.

Stealth =
Nakamichi CD400
Kicker 10” SB
PPI 5440 w/custom mount w/ integrated cooling fan that draws heat out of the amp.
MB Quart 3-way components up front
MB Quart 2-way in rear deck
All wiring is Monster Cable and Street Wires.

I had an Alpine 7949 that was in my prior 1995 BMW M3, which I kick myself for ever getting rid of that head unit years ago… today, you’re lucky if you can touch one of those under $600… those in excellent to new condition they’re pushing $1k today.

Tell your Dad, great job with helping out on your system - he probably knows the above old school equipment too. :)

Had the Steeda Tri-Ax Race Short Throw Shifter installed yesterday in Pompano. What a difference, shifts are tighter than a Witches $%*%$ in a brass brassiere. Shout out to TJ and Rod for their help!
@rcald Are those aftermarket headlights on L3483? 🙃

Did some country road testing before heading to the dragstrip Saturday to start the season. Got the Baer rotors/pads seasoned and worked the JPC Racing line locks.

What’s the difference between the aftermarket line lock and stock one?

Aftermarket turns on with the flip of a toggle switch(instant on), OEM is a combination of using the dash menu, pushing/holding buttons and holding break pedal. The OEM is also glitchy, we made 51 passes last summer and about 15x they faulted out…which ruins the run. So IMO, for a dedicated drag car they suck….if your just using them as a novelty, they’re fine.

Murphy’s Law…I put the summer tires on last week and then developed a slow leak a few days later….Apparently I picked up a screw and fortunately was able to plug it.
