After the big brake upgrade at the beginning of the month I had to adjust the new parking brake assembly, which means the exhaust comes out of the car. The exhaust has a couple of issues I'd like to address anyway, so I'm replacing the worn out exhaust tips and replacing the 3" straps that connect the rear part of the exhaust system (Solo Performance) to the X-pipe in the middle where the resonator used to be. Unfortunately NAPA decided to screw with me and put a 3 1/2" strap in a 3" box, so I have to go find another one tomorrow. Boo.

The S650 doesn't even have a simple upgrade like a dead pedal trim plate from the factory, so I'd say SOL on a fix for this. 😆
gave her a wash today.

Installed my BlackVue dashcam setup that I kept from my old truck. Only ran 1 channel for the front. May do the rear later, but I wanna tint first. Also installed the B-124x Power Magic Ultra Battery. Ultra means it's super badass.

I need to redo the fused side but it works for now.

Not really to my Mustang but for it.

Installed Brigit Curb Bridge so I no longer have to worry about scraping the chin spoiler or anywhere else. Pricey $500 delivered for 200lbs of recycled tires but made in the USA and well designed. Enjoyed manhandling it so much I did it twice. Had the end pieces on reversed so I had to unbolt it all and swap ends. Found my floor Jack under the seems allowed the end to sag and made getting the nuts on the connecting bolts a piece of cake.

Hit a 4”x4” piece of lumber at ~75MPH on the highway 😢

When I first bought these SVE SP2 19x10s I thought the gloss graphite would look good on my shadow black GT, but I was always disappointed with how they looked. So, when I had the wheel fixed I had them refinish all four wheels in gloss black and they turned out amazing.

Finally did something about the nuts / washers chewing up the powder coat on the tower brace.

The aluminium 350 brace has three out of the four mounting holes oversized and they are large enough to only just get grabbed by the standard nuts.

New stainless washers :

The small diameter grabs more than the standard nut. The larger diameter just sits above and is for aesthetics only - hiding any damage to the powder coat and any slight misalignment from removal / refitting :like:

They look much neater :

You could sell those washers along with the thread caps as a kit.

Given more time (i.e. kids moved out and me retired) I might think about it, but back in the real world I don’t have enough time to do all the things I want too …

I’ve still got the wall top to draw up new coping’s for and an en-suite to finish … :giggle:

I’ve a thread going with my excuses of why I’m not always busy on the car lol

I've seen this on plenty of cars and thought it looked good. Now that I have it on mine I don't think I like it.. thoughts...

I'm about to place an order for a brace and had the same concern. Are these washers something that can be purchased, or did you machine these? Either way, the hole size and diameter would be good to know...thx.
