Haha that made me chuckle. Shows how muscle memory comes into it, doing something one way for a long time really need to concentrate when changing over.Kind of off topic, but this picture reminded me of my trip to Ireland. We rented a car and I kept trying to reach for the shifter with my right arm. We didn't even make it out of the Shannon airport parking lot before I pulled over and I let my left-handed wife drive. I tried again later, and driving on the 'wrong' side of the street was fine, but darn near stalling it out each time I couldn't find the shifter made me permanently swap to navigator duties the rest of the trip.
I had similar when I had my Abarth 595 Comp. The window switches were in the center console (like either side of the gear lever in the centre). Here is a pic from after I had changed the gater and gear knob showing the switches:
The amound of times I'd pull up at a ticket machine or go to put my window down and I'd be faffing about on the door for no reason. I got used to it in the end. I do love the 595. Proper pocket rocket. I had mine putting out just over 190bhp, weighing around 1,045KG unladen. Was fun!
