The rear seat is way heavier than you think. On average I think these kits drop about 30. Let's get our resident expert to...weigh in. Hey @Less Weight ,how much does the rear bench weigh?
Rear seat backs weigh about 10.2 lbs each and rear seat bottom weights about 12.2 lbs. If you take those out and leave the hardware, you shave 32.6 lbs before adding the rear seat delete kit. If the delete kit weighs 30 lbs, you save about 2 lbs. I took these parts out and weighed them.

Detailed the exterior, compound, polish, and wax. Pulled it out into the sun to sweep the garage out and when I went to pull it back in there were water spots all over it. Mad as hell and confused I looked up and there was one teeny weeny little cloud right above us. Unbelievable! It didn't even rain enough to spot the pavement, just enough to water spot the car! Since the wax hadn't cured I pulled it back in and started about stripping the wax off and washing again. As I'm going around the car I hear this BAM! CLUNK! What the hell is it now? I look and the broom had fallen off the wall where it was hanging and hit the hood. That broom has hung in that spot for 7 years and never once fallen off the wall. So now I have to compound and polish the hood again! ARRRGHHH!! Just wasn't meant to do this today.
I've had that happen before, it's the most aggravating thing in the universe. Living close to the mountain on the bench means that type of stuff is more likely here as the air cools rapidly as it ascends over the peak and condenses moisture rapidly. Literally went from washing my car in the sun to getting rained on for just a few seconds.

I know what you mean! I'm a bit further away from the mountains than Salt Lake, but still 6,000 feet up. It can sprinkle fairly easy still - maybe not that easy, but easy enough to catch you out.

I forgot about the seatbacks when I commented on the weight. Oops. But there was no way the weight savings was going to be anywhere close to 30 lbs., and your report of 32.6 lbs total for the seatbacks and cushion confirms that.

Kit doesn't weigh 30lbs. They're basically stiffened upholstery and some hardware.
There should be plywood or MDF under the upholstery man, and it's heavy. Weight depends on the thickness of it, but weight savings should be minimal, if at all. And unless you enjoy tons more road noise from the back, and not being able to put anything on the shelf, you want plywood or MDF there.

I put Shrader kit in mine and I'd be real surprised if it weighed more than 10 lbs. I removed the seat belts as well so probably a 30 lb saving.

I installed my Beith Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel.

Does anyone have the aftermarket leather airbag cover? I think I might like one.
