Took my autoX wheels/tires off and put my all-seasons back on. Was patting myself on the back on having NOT damaged my car while tinkering. Then bumped a shelf putting the jack away and in catching a can that fell off I let my long handle breaker bar slip and - thump. The dull thump that an aluminum hood makes. Dammit. I may just make an appointment with the PDR folks after this one, shame on me for trying to do too many things at once...

I feel for you, get it fixed and put it behind you. Lesson learned, happens to me when I am in a rush doing to many things at once.

Sorry to see that you had a dreaded garage mishap. Over the years I have received more nicks and dings within the wall of my garage then anyplace else. All you can do is repair it and move on. Good luck on the repair.

Tinted all the lights , one way to fix head lights that are starting to haze over.

If you ever want to restore them check out the Cerakote Ceramic Restoration Kit. Did it myself and, while not perfect, the headlights look 10x better than they did before.

Damn, sorry to hear that.
Similarly, recently I was changing over my wheels from a track day. On the last wheel was getting a bit lazy and distracted when tightening up the final lug nut when the wheel brace slipped off. My head then proceeded to put a forehead size dent in the rear quarter panel as a result of the forward motion produced by the slip. Yes, live & learn.

Installed a JMS PedalMax, delivers on what it says it does. Made me smile.

Applied Adams ceramic coating today, going to a "1st annual car cruise" tomorrow afternoon at a local winery. Did the wheels too, what a PIA but worth it. Hard to tell with it just being under garage lights but it's shiny as heck in person.
