back in my Fox Body days there was a guy who deemed himself “Mr 5.0” and his car was prob a mid 11 sec car, maybe.

He took his bumper support out and then cut about a hundred holes in the bumper cover to “make it faster”.

this totally reminded me of him

@3rdRGR, triple digits are the norm here in TX during the summer and sometimes into fall. There really would not be any advantage to 0W20 IMHO. I simply stay with 5W20 Amsoil. Change it every 5k. Oil is way cheaper than an engine.

Steering wheel and shifter came from Steeda today along with the combo kit for the back up light. Going to see if Gear Heads can install them tomorrow.

I'm in TX, and it's almost a full dollar more expensive here. Geez. They really jack up premium here, for some reason. Aholes. Ha ha.

I'm not a chemical engineer, but I used to stay at Holiday Inn's prior to the pandemic... My understanding is that a 0W or 5W is going to flow the same at operating temps. But at startup, and ambient temp at that time (I live in IN and will have some cold mornings) the 0W will heat up and flow quicker than will heavier W's. Again my understanding is that for most drivers (non-trackers) the most wear on an engine will be at cold start. So this is my thinking on the 0W. I know this is a hotly debated topic and not trying to take this thread in the wrong direction, so if you want to PM to discuss that's cool. I'm certainly open to as much knowledge for our cars as I can get. Thanks!

Ran the complementary tank of cheap gas out and have her the 93 brew. It was $2.44 @ gallon and I’m in Texas.

Going to rotate the air in the tires .........
By taking a long drive in the country to Gear Heads for coffee. Having them install the new flat bottom steering wheel and Diode Dynamics brake light upgrade kit. If time allows, the Steeda Tri-ax (spelling?) Short throw shifter too.
