It’s just a mesh (metal?) screen inside so you could probably flush it out with some brake clean if you wanted.
Yes, it’s metal :

Why flush it? Just pour the spoonful out by tipping it and no need to disassemble. Unless you're curious, everyone is, I checked the inside when I mounted it :giggle: It's just a small amount coming out, no need to clean imho, gravity does its thing.

tj@steeda I noticed that in the video below, Chris mentions that you decided to keep the factory Mach 1 vertical links instead of changing them. Is that still the current thinking with regard to the Mach 1? Thanks.

Hello -

I spoke to Chris & I am happy to put you in contact with him for additional questions.

After testing, we found that the factory vertical links on the Mach 1 were sufficient for our Steeda Mach 1 builds.

However, our Steeda Billet Aluminum Vertical Links with the polyurethane bushings are a great upgrade for handling-focused Mach 1s.

If you intend to drag race your Mach 1 more often, then we recommend the Steeda Billet Aluminum Vertical Links with the Delrin bushings to aid in driving power to the ground.

Let me know if have is what you were looking for :)

Best Regards,

TJ

Spent be day cleaning it up after last weeks track day. What a mess. Lots of tire rubber streaks everywhere, few new rock chips 🤦‍♂️. But about 3 hours work and she’s cleaned up and ready to go do another track day in 2 weeks.

Have to say, used this stuff to get the rubber off, and it was really good on all but the very worst marks. (Still took off 95% of even the heaviest marks.) Some very mild rubbing compound removed the really bad stuff.)

Did find a chip in the paint on one of the wheels, in a really odd spot. (On the face of one of the spokes. Forgot to take a picture.) Next time I’m at the dealer I’ll see if they’ll cover it under warranty cause of the wired location and the fact the wheels have 0 curb rash and are perfect otherwise.

If not, the stock HP wheels may be my new track wheels, and I’ll get a replacement set for street duty.

I like it. The font makes all the difference.

R3 is great. My whole car is PPF and ceramic coated and I had no issues getting tire rubber off. Next time you have a stubborn spot try letting the R3 dwell there a minute. You have to hold a cloth on it with some R3 on the cloth. I haven't needed anything else.

Oh yeah, got my owners kit today.

I like it, the only change I would do is change the Mach 1 to the correct font for our year models. What emblem do you have on the fender, Powered by Ford?

I tried to install a Steeda Gt500 spoiler yesterday. Unfortunately the studs that hold down the outside ends are very loose and won’t tighten. I put in a call to Matt H at Steeda. I read good things about the part so I must have received a fluk…

Gotta love it, took the day off, ate breakfast at Waffle House and picked up 2 nails in the right rear on the way home. Fortunately 1 patch covered them both but it still sucks.
