Done! Mounted with 3M heavy duty double faced tape, 1/8” X 3” X 17” rear acrylic support plate, and 1/2” X 4” X 20” acrylic base plate. Just using a simple squeeze clamp to hold it in place on the strut tower brace so it doesn’t get blown over on windy days. @Coastal-Mach , @cheeser , @quickDraw your letters are in the queue

Thanks for setting this up. I’ll probably experiment a bit, but like the idea of just the clear plate behind the letters, eliminate bottom plate, and a very small angle piece behind to clamp….just a thought.

Very nicely done. Thanks again for putting this on the forum and coordinating the payment, shipping, etc.

Who has replace their stock heat extractors with something that is a bit more open. And did it actually help?

I want to keep the stock hood but these stock extractors are only good for letting small amounts of liquid in.

They are not really heat extractors. They were designed to relieve under-hood air pressure at speed. The fact they let out a little bit of heat is secondary. If you want true cooling with the stock hood, there is nothing you can do unless you're willing to cut and add louvers like this:

Technically haven’t don’t it to my M1HP yet, but sometime in the next month these Falken RT660 will go on the stock HP wheels. Going to try and get a few more events out of the SC2 and then a big Smokey-funeral 🤣

The limiting factor is the small slot in the hood sheet metal. Regardless of what vent design you choose, the opening into the vent is the same.
