I'm not familiar with that brand or product, but by the looks of it, that could have the potential to sling.

As mentioned, wipe the tire over to level it down after 15 - 20 minutes and you will reduce the likely hood of this happening.

Otherwise, look into Carpro Perl, Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing or Koch Chemie Plast Star.

Is there an option for a low shine dressing? I don’t care for the high shine but prefer a deep dark black matte or very low gloss.

I just switched to Adam’s tire shine after using another product for years and I’m very pleased with it. Normally I avoid private label products, but this one is very good. Most important thing is a clean surface and wipe off/level any high spots an hour later for any product. I just now month later feel like I’ve gotten all of the dealer’s tire shine completely off my tires. That stuff is nasty. 🤣

Swapped my steering wheel to the GT350 one today. Only issue I ran into was the steering wheel bolt being totally different. Thought is was a 24mm bolt but it turned out to be a T50 hex head one. All controls work and I threw on a white center overlay. Such a better look and feel over the stock wheel.

Looks great! I did the same Diode Dynamics LED's and smoked side markers. Excellent choice!

I currently have 15 different tire dressings in my cabinet, so that request is easy done!!

Carpro Perl when diluted 1:2 will give a nice deep satin sheen. If you have Michelin PS4S's tires, Perl seems to be one on the better options for this tire.

(Side Note : Not all tires react the same to any given tire dressing. Michelin PS4S's seem to be more sensitive than other tires, often producing blotchy results after a few hours.)

This is Perl used at full strength and then knocked back 15 minutes later with a towel...........

Another product that seems to play well with PS4S's is Obsessed Garage Tire Dressing. This can be glossy if needed, but it's naturally low sheen. Again, a buff down afterwards will knock it back a little.

This next suggestion is a hidden gem, a product that has been the staple of old school detailers for decades, Duragloss 253. This stuff is so naturally low sheen that you don't even need to knock it back. It has good durability too. I think this could be your product.

An absolute favorite of mine, for looks, for scent, for ease of application, NV Onyx. Unlike Perl, this product is not designed to be diluted but the level of gloss controlled by the amount you apply. Love this stuff!

A product that really surprised me, Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing is another solid choice. I don't buy into the Graphene thing, this is just a brilliant product.

IMG-4813.jpg

And Meguiar's Hyper Dressing is another solid choice. Buy the pre-diluted RTU version for simplicity. In full stregth form (only available in gallon sizes), Hyper Dressing is very glossy. In diluted form, HD will give you a satin sheen. The benifit of Hyper Dressing is how versitile it is, use in on wheel arches like below, engine bays, exterior trim and interior plastics.

Wildcard - This might seem like an odd suggestion, but also have a look at 303 Protectant. This product is primarily used for interior plastics and exterior trims, but it also works as a supremely low sheen tire dressing. Longevity will be minimal, especially if drive in the rain, but it applies so easily and requires no effort to achieve that low gloss appearance you are looking for.

Another thing to note would be cleaning. If you change tire dressings, its good practice to clean the tires thoroughly before application to ensure a good bond. Scrub the tires with a stiff bristled brush with a strong All-purpose-cleaner, P&S Brake Buster, Adam's Rubber & Tire Cleaner or Shine Supply Wise Guy.

Happy shopping! :like:

Awesome info, I spent 2 hours removing the tar specks all over my car, never using that tire shine again lol.

@DFB5.0 I have the Pearl, I did a 1:3 mix and gave the exterior plastics a great shine. I am going to try to use the Pearl on the PS4S hopefully it wont cause the same issue.

Make sure you clean the tires thoroughly to remove the remaining residue before applying Perl. If you don't, you may still experience sling as the product won't have bonded with the rubber properly.

I love the Air Design hood vents and have them on my 2020 PP LEVEL 2. I'll be putting them on my 2023 Mach 1 when it arrives next spring!!

Duragloss 253 is the other product I have used forever that I just switched away from for Adams. I didn't bother referencing it because I didn't think anyone bought it anymore. Definitely under appreciated.

Battery tender installed. I have done now 4 times. Each time I sell / trade in the car I always leave the hardwire for the tender and radar detector..and have to buy those parts new. :)
